...this question comes off the back of this months Marvel Infinity, where a certain powerful villain is unphased by "the voice" after it has levelled a city! What sort of damage do you think it would do to Superman, if any, seeing as he has survived explosions more damaging than atom bombs?!

Seems strange that the surfer doesn't have his title these days, considering he was fairly popular in years gone by...do you think he will be brought back, or are us Surfer fans doomed to just seeing him in bit part scenarios such as Marvel's Hunger?

Thanos was clearly hurt buddy, we even see his purple blood dripping i think lol. But come on, i thought it was great! I mean it's Thanos we're talking about here, a being who takes on the entire Earth (his recent mini showed him to be a planet conquerer? For death), and has and will always be depicted as the baddest mamma jamma for marvel heroes to face.

Hickman did Thanos AND Blackbolt justice imo. BB is powerful, but he's not THAT powerful (is he a universal threat? doubt it). Plus Thanos has copped 'beams' or attacks far more powerful than that right? remember Galactus in that Thanos mini? it made him beg Galan to stop hurting him =D (i may be exaggerating, very vague memory ;D)

You're probably right and this is my point, Thanos is too powerful.to make his encounters with the top end marvel heroes interesting. Thor, SS, BB, he just stomps them. Where's the interest in that?! I don't think Marvel always handle stories with top end character battles as well as DC. Sure, BB is not a universal threat but he is supposed to be able to level cities, even continents with a full scream. I would have preferred Thanos to at least have been staggered before Ko'ing BB.... I mean at least with Darkseid v Superman or other Justice leaguers, its usually a fair old tussle and not a walk over in DS' favour.....just my opinion obviously and aside from that I thought Issue 4 was pretty great....!

..Been flicking through infinity 4 today and I am NOT happy with BB v Thanos. For decades now, BB has been billed as this all powerful mysterious mega powered individual who can level cities with a whisper and destroy planets with a scream. Indeed he ko'd Hulk in one of their early encounters with just a whisper. Now he finally meets Thanos and gets absolutely butt kicked! I mean Thanos doesn't even have a scratch...! I know Thanos is all powerful, but what is the point of creating villains so mighty that even the strongest good guys cant touch 'em. What next, will he snap mjolnir in two in Issue 5 ??!!

I guess we got our answer. Thanos tanked 3 screams from black bolt, one at point blank and he contained it with his freakin hand. And proceeded to then beat him down quickly, and effortlessly. One of the most impressive feats by Thanos

Flipping fuming about this!! BB's scream has supposed to be powerful enough to level a planet yet Thanos just takes it without flinching.....another reason why I think DC does stories with high powered characters so much better than Marvel......there just isn't consistency in power levels of Marvel's top end guys..

I think its a great comic and its something Marvel just don't have, as they don't have a female lead as powerful as WW....I'm sticking with this title now and actually thinking of dropping unchained, because I also get Superman/Batman and cant justify 3 Superman titles in one month! Anyway, how could you not want to read a comic with Doomsday in it?!!

Superman WW definitely. Think the first issue is really good, easily a match (IMHO) for the first issue of the very highly rated "unchained"...

Some great points, I guess as Flash is one of my very favourite characters, I wish he wasn't always way down the pecking order of DC characters when it comes to having a major part in "saving the day". Its always Supes or Bats, with WW and GL. Hopefully if he gets his own TV series, or, unlikely as it seems now, a film, this trend might be reversed.

Been thinking recently that the Flash is surely by most counts the most powerful DC character. I mean anyone who moves faster than the speed of light who can vibrate through solid objects faster than thought, can process information faster than any normal person and has that IMF punch would be unstoppable by most counts. So why is that Flash always seems to play a bit part in most JLA story arcs and frequently gets tagged by fairly modest characters. I appreciate that Superman must not be allowed to get over-shadowed, but could they not let Flash let rip once in a while?

Well, I believe that as an object approaches the speed of light, its mass increases, so surely the Flash would have the hardest punch, if physics were involved. In fact, I suggest that an IMF punch would probably completely obliterate even a meta human type opponent. When you think what damage a bullet does when fired at only 700 MPH, something "fired" at 186,000 miles per second, would do unthinkable damage. But then, they always have to reign in the Flash's feats, so he doesn't overshadow the likes of Superman......
