This just looks tacky. Oh dear, comic book films have been progressively getting better… until this! And why does Charles have hair, he went bald when he was like 12 or something peculiar like that.

None of the actors look anything like the characters, it looks like a line up for a photo at a really bad superhero themed hallowe'en party. Sigh.

The way I see it, Mutants in the Marvel Universe are a separate cousin-species to Humans
(i.e. Homo Superior and Homo Sapiens ).
Whereas, Spider-man, the Fantastic Four, Hulk, Captain America etc, are Mutates, that is, they are people whom have been mutated. In the dictionary form on the word they are mutants, but they are not Mutants. The capitalised term denoting the species.

So, Cyclops, Xavier, Rogue, Emma Frost, Magneto = Mutants
and, Spider-man, Fantastic Four, Hulk, Daredevil = Mutates

I think Beast might actually be a Mutant Mutate, to add confusion to the mix because he drank a serum that turned him blue, while his strength, intellect and dynamic posture predates that as a result of his X-Gene.

Basically, Mutant should be capitalised in the same way as Human is when talking about the species, or in particular a member of the species. But not if it's a characteristic, who are most likely known as Human Mutates.

Hmm. Not convinced, personally. I think the acting definitely comes before the body. Jaime Murray (Hustle, Dexter) I think would be a good candidate, she's been seen rocking Wondie's costume before in an episode of Hustle! Or Eliza Dushku who is superb and definitely physically ready, but seeing as it's no longer Joss Whedon it seems unlikely.

I really think it's time for Marvel and DC (in particular) to consolidate a lot of their multi-titled characters and teams. Marvel already did this with the Spiderman titles, I think which as far as I can tell was a very wise and successful move; and if they really have that many stories to tell, increase the publication to two or three times a month, or increase the content inside a single issue. I'm sure people wouldn't mind paying a little more for more pages of a good story, or even pay for one or two titles released twice a month each, rather than six separate titles telling very repetitive tales. X-Men, Batman, the Avengers, Wolverine, Superman……… I could go on. Am I right?

I like the little Punisher skull in one of the equations a the bottom. But i have a problem, surely they've basically found Wanda, subject to rescuing her from a certain big baddy in the Children's Crusade?

I really really like it, it may even be my favourite costume. Two things I wish they'd do though:
a) decide on a set green for the costume, it seems to change from lighter to darker from artist to artist,  and
b) zip her up a wee bit more! She'll catch a cold, I swear.

@Green Skin said:

" I like it!  Why do people think she's wearing a skirt?  It's part of her top. "
And YES! Thank you, it is! Which actually makes it even cooler!
I really like how it looks more normal, and it's not a spandex thong-kini wonder!

There really is no X-Men without Cyclops… especially X-Men from the start, I mean come on: he was the first X-man! I know that they want it to be original and that adaptations are always always going to deviate, but I would prefer they at least respected the comic book mythos, or just came up with some new ideas.

I reckon: Scarlet Witch pseudo-villain… unless she's going to be in X-Men First Class, or Carol Danvers pre-ms. marvel as a shield agent. I'm surprised that there aren't more female characters actually, knowing Joss Whedon's tendencies (and skill) with strong female characters. I smell sequels.

Rogue, for sure, not just because she's the most kiss-ass girl ever, but she's proven time and again she's cunning and adaptable. Sure they're both smart, and Wondergirl is probably more powerful, but Rogue is by definition a rogue, you never know what she'll do. She does the unexpected. And just think what would happen if Rogue landed a skin-to-skin!?

Oh boy.
