No,well I guess there's one issue of Superman/Batman where Batman had Superman's powers and he used them on Bane.

Well that's not exactly handing him his ass,Bruce snatched victory from the jaws of defeat. He even says he's too exhausted to even swim a few feet.

Bane's never had his ass handed to him by anyone, except maybe KGBeast the first time around and Cheetah later.

Tommy Jagger and Ra's al Ghul come to mind, but Jagger was bad writing and Ra's should be unbeatable in a sword duel.

Before someone gets ideas,Beast attacked a badly injured, out of shape Bane who was suffering from venom withdrawal. He was also sleeping.

@entropy_aegis: Well, they're not really mutually exclusive terms. Batman can both snatch victory from the jaws of defeat as well as hand Bane his ass.

Not really,he was dying. He even say's he's too exhausted too catch up.

@entropy_aegis: Of course he's too exhausted. He just spent 10 panels kicking Bane's ass. It was a round three perfect match.

Here's the play-by-play:

1st panel - Batman takes him down.

2nd panel - Batman gets up and follows through with a hook.

3rd Panel - Batman uppercuts Bane into the water.

4th panel - Bane tries to swim away, but Batman is ahead of him and leaps from the raft to the top of the ladder.

5th Panel - Bane looks up with fear in his eyes.

6th Panel - Batman dive-kicks Bane's face off.

7th Panel - Bane struggles to get up while Batman looms over him.

8th Panel - Bane is bewildered by his complete and utter defeat.

9th Panel - Batman winds up his fist.

10th Panel - KO.

It couldn't be clearer. Batman destroyed Bane.

And the fact that Batman couldn't catch up to Bane when he Bane was swept away by an ocean current doesn't invalidate anything that he did before.

I dunno about in the comics, but in Arkham Asylum the Batmobile sure hands him his ass!

I find this very hard to believe.

No, but in all seriousness, you said the Juggernaut was born with his powers, which I can tell you with little hesitation is false. The Juggernaut is the epitome of unstoppable momentum, hence the reason you don't win a battle against him physically or head on for that matter. Bane can be outfought and outsmarted, and it doesn't take Superman to do either of of those things. E.g. Deathstroke would hand Bane his ass on a platter and make him eat out of it.

I don't think it would be hate. With the film coming out, Bane is getting represented more than ever, and his stronger feats are constantly being shown. Not everyone likes to see the "villain" come out on top, so it makes sense for some people to want to see him beaten for cathartic reasons. Not hating, just a bit of balance.
Posted by SoA

@FadeToBlackBolt: Ah. one of those... i actually like the kind of balance as far as its not always a happy ending , the hero wont always beat the villain and get the girl. i prefer a darker story . its actually one of the reasons i see myself leaving Marvel and DC for more independent companies. no pressure to have the bad guy beaten or if a character is killed he stays dead or actually forgotten until years later

Just prior to that Bane almost drowned Batman.

You do realise that Bane, himself, knew that it was futile to attack Batman head on. He knew that if he just attacked Batman, he would lose.

Their first fight didn't reach a conclusion, JPV got lost or ran away or something like that. For the second fight he brought his damn Az-Bat armor. I'm not sure but I think Bane was also going through Venom withdrawal at the time, entropy can clarify. The details of Knightfall are a bit sketchy in my mind.

Um no,read the whole fight.

Bane tanks a batarang and spears Batman through a door,Bruce hits him once and slams the door on his face.

Batman quickly hides somewhere,Bane realizes Batman had already planted an explosive in the building previously to destroy the clench(virus).Bane tries to escape, explosive goes off, building goes KABOOM.

Batman is unharmed,Bane took the explosion(and off venom),Batman comes out and sees Bane laughing.

Bane jumps on top of Bruce, they exchange punches which are blocked,Bane goes for a kick,Bruce dodges and retaliates with 3 batarangs,Bane backflips and easily avoides the projectiles and then delivers a slobberknocker a of kick which sends Batman flying,Bane then slaps Bruce's face and proceeds to drown him.

Batman is dying, until he gets a flash of his parents death, and then we get what you posted.BATMAN'S PARENTS ARE DEAD.

One of these guys has been dead for a decade, lemme give you a hint it's not Bane LOL.But seiously Az was getting kicked around in their first fight,he wen't back and pulled that plot device armor out his cave and then proceeded to cut the plot device on the back of Bane's head (venom tubes). In that armor the entire Batfamily and Outsiders were no match for him.Ofcourse Bane lost, but they faced again in Azrael and were shown to be pretty much equals.@CitizenBane said:

Yes he overdosed himself, and then Valley ripped the tubes.Throwing him in to withdrawal.@RainEffect said:

Nope,he said attacking Batman required more finesse, talent and the end results had to be 100% satisfying.Infact he said to Trogg"I let him live"

Batman was outmatached,Bane,Bird,Zombie and Trogg would have raped him if Bane had chosen to attack then. The writers wanted a story, not an issue where Batman was getting murdered by rookies LOL

So what are you trying to say here, exactly? That because they exchanged blows and Bane had the upper-hand for a bit, that he didn't have his ass handed to him by Batman in the end? That it's not enough that for the last two pages Batman was untouched and that Bane was on the ground, terrified, bewildered, and trying to squirm away? I understand that you're a fan of his. An ass kicking is where one person completly dominates, while the other is completly helpless. If Bane had him on the verge of death and Bruce could'nt even swim a few feet after the fight then it's clear he's been through a hell of a fight.

Ass kicking would be Batman beating the hell outta him right from the start and dragging his ass to Blackgate, this fight proved that Batman can outskill venom less Bane (you'll never find me denying that) and gain a victory to prove his superiority.

All in all, depends upon the OP's intent,if he want's to see a fight where Batman beat him then Legacy should suffice.
