Looking forward to hearing more about it, I'll go to see it no matter what the critics say.

I like the idea that each of the DC characters is the only hero in his/her universe, start trying to link them and it could get messy.

Think DC should keep heroes separate though, not build up each character like Marvel did with the Avengers, means a lot more work would be needed, means different actors would need to be selected for Justice League film than solo films, which would mean we'd be waiting even longer, but means they won't be so directly drawn against Marvel's success. And let's face it, whenever they release the films it won't be quick enough for us, but if they rush them and the films flop, they face the wrath of a world of nerds, and believe you me . . . that's not pretty!

I miss the briefs on the outside, it looks fine in the films but those suits are totally black, not grey, the grey needs punctuating with more than just the yellow utility belt
despite that, I'm excited to see where this leads though
they could seriously mess with Harvey Dent's head if Dick and Bruce tag-teamed him
:D

iron man may have suits and sometimes superior gadgets but he's not the tactician that batman is
he'll just make a suit and hope that everything he might need can be done by this one suit
batman plans the whole fight before the other guy is even out of bed
batman ftw easy
he beat superman, loads of times, what's iron man done?

superheroes are super, it sounds stupid but think about it. super basically means better than normal, so whether they have powers or not all crimefighters are superheroes, this is the reason i use most often when arguing with friends about whether batman is a superhero.
perfect bodies are more appealing than standard bodies, every part of a superhero exudes 'superness' so its only fair that they all have bodies like models. people are complaining about female costumes but stop and think, if it weren't for underwear batman, superman, the flash, green lantern, spider-man (need i go on?) they would all be showing their junk. a woman's is just that bit more obvious, even without the spandex.
spandex is lightweight and very difficult to grab a hold of, baggy clothes would forever be getting pulled by criminals or caught on barbed wire leaving the hero/heroine stranded and open to attack. the ability to cope with a cape only comes with superior training, and some may claim they are superfluous and dangerous (edna mode) but they can be extremely useful when utilised efficiently.
female's without superstrength (black canary, huntress, batgirl etc.) will not be as strong as a man in the same position, even after years of training, and if they still wish to blend in with the crowd when in their civilian identities they can't walk around inconspicuously if they look like a female-body builder.
as for those heroines with superstrength, any advantage over an opponent is welcome, most criminals will be male, if they don't act because they are distracted by a cracking rack or because they underestimate a woman it makes the heroines life easier. for a male equivalent look at dick grayson's robin, y-fronts and pixie boots, he didn't need an advantage but if it takes less energy to dispatch a villain it can only be a good thing, more efficient crimefighting.
at the end of the day comic books are a form of entertainment, and if people are entertained watching 'normal' people strolling around they should watch the travesty that is Big Brother. but i hate to be the bearer of bad news, 'normal' for both america and the u.k. is overweight. fact. if you want fat superheroes stop reading comic books.
rant over, keep the sexy outfits, they are an advantage, stop complaining. the characters are not weaker because they show flesh, its just another route writers can take to get a laugh. as can be seen at the link below (image from superman/batman : public enemies).

@ComicMan24: I agree, is Bruce's Batman in this or is its Dick's? They both have very different styles so which character is the writer portraying well?

heath was easily the best joker, actually gave me the heebie jeebies, which is a first for the screen versions of the joker, the others haven't been so genuinely crazy, just a bit homicidal.
harvey dent won't be dead i reckon, they'll have faked his death to help cover up all those murders, and be trying to help him with plastic surgery and psychotherapy, but like in miller's the dark knight returns he'll come back and go kerr-azy.
christian bale is ace.
they need to keep it vaguely real like they have done, meaning, no killer croc, no mr. freeze, no ra's al ghul having used a lazarus pit, no poison ivy unfortunately (we could really do with a ridiculously sexy super-villain on the big screen), potentially no bane unless they can think of a credible reason for his genius with chemicals and a believable transformation from man to muscly fiend. catwoman would be interesting too, especially if it introduced a love interest for bruce and batman at the same time without knowing the common ground. harley quinn could be good too, just the sexy villain we need but it'll be difficult coming up with an introduction without using heath's joker.
had the creative geniuses gone about batman begins slightly differently they could have done a film version of batman : hush, that would be incredible but difficult to make believable, and may have needed preceding films introducing allies and villians for those viewers that don't know their bat-lore.
eagerly awaiting this film, and may nolan continue his good work throughout the DCU.
