...but I think it's time they found a new Wolverine. I mean, I love Hugh Jackman's interpretation and everything he has done with the character for the past decade, but let's face it: THE X-MEN FRANCHISE HAS GONE TO $#&%. Anyone else feel the same?
For any of you who might complain about how the MCU doesn't follow the exact details of the original Earth 616 Marvel Universe, try to think of it this way...IT'S JUST ANOTHER UNIVERSE. Just as the Ultimate Universe was a reinvention of the Marvel continuity, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is just another different take on Earth 616. Sure, Jarvis has been turned into a computer program, the Mandarin has been changed into a organization called the Ten Rings, the Abomination is no longer a giant fish man, and Donald Blake will not be appearing in the upcoming Thor movie, but should we really be concerned? Now, I don't approve of how Fox and Sony have interpreted their Marvel films (partly because those films sucked), but I'm perfectly fine with the changes that have been made with the MCU. Keep in mind, every film adaptation of a book, comic book, or TV series has never been entirely true to the original premise of those stories, because some elements wouldn't necessarily work. What do you think about all this?
I mean really? I'm beginning to assess the possibility that the production deadlines for Fantastic Four, Daredevil, and Spider-Man are much closer than we anticipated. Fox didn't bring the factor of making a reboot to Fantastic Four until AFTER Disney began its purchase of Marvel. Sony set up a Spider-Man Reboot because of the delayed production WHICH only stopped moving forward THIS PAST JANUARY. The deadline for the Ghost Rider sequel is in mid-November, a little over three years after the first film came out. Universal had ultimately lost the rights to the Hulk because they didn't meet their deadline. Those rights were returns to Marvel Studios THREE YEARS after the first Hulk movie. The last Fantastic Four movie was THREE YEARS AGO. The last Spider-Man was THREE YEARS AGO. The last Daredevil movie was FIVE YEARS AGO. The last Blade movie was SIX YEARS AGO (See where I'm getting at?). Guranteed, the X-Men are staying at Fox for the considerable future, but are we closer to seeing the other Marvel properties returned? Could the deadlines for those film rights be closer than we anticipated? WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT ALL THIS?
