I like these battles but the arguments are always a little wonky when it comes to the more powered characters. These are two characters from different universes with different sets of physics and power levels. All anyone can do is make an assumption about what character has equivalent power in each universe and endlessly cite various feats against other characters. I personally believe that John Stewart would win this fight easily but as this passionate comments section has taught me, there are plenty who believe just the opposite. The nature of comics and varying interpretation within them makes it basically impossible for one side to "win" this argument.
I honestly know almost nothing about Jon Stewart, but Magneto is a beast. He also rages pretty quickly, which turns on ruthless-mode. You know how we keep saying that such-and-such character wouldn't do something ruthless in-character? Magneto is the guy who does. that. ruthless. thing. If their power-levels are close to even, Magneto can take this, IMO. He can be a bastard and that's his edge.
Update: Just learned that Jon's nickname was Diggles. Having second thoughts.
What they look like tells me nothing, honestly. They just have to be funny. I hope they're funny in this.
Ghostbusters was funny, but it's "world" was never a big deal. It was a comedy movie with one sequel. It's not exactly Lord of the Rings. It's barely a series, much less a continuity. It's the perfect movie to be rebooted, in other words.
Wow, that comment Iceman made at the end was totally uncalled for. I get where all of the characters are, how some feel about Scott and what he did, but even I want to punch Bobby in the face for saying that.
