It's a good moment but I don't understand the obsession with it.

One of the few upcoming books I'm excited for. I've always been a fan of Leinil Yu's work and Mark Waid's a good writer, hopefully he'll stay on the series for a little bit.

@badaboop: this is ultimate cap not 616.

I know that, I can read at the top that it says Ultimate Comics. But Ultimate Cap got a costume change recently for a few issues, yet now he's back to his classic look without any mention of it.

What happened to that NEW battle armor costume he was supposed to have to go along with his changing look? Seems like that got thrown out the window before it could even become slightly meaningful.

It's a great book so far, real fun. I love watching Miles try to be this new hero and live up to the legend that Peter built around the symbolic character of Spider-Man. I really think making this new hero pulled off, it's really set the Ultimate Universe in a new direction and Peter's death has affected just about everyone. I've been following the Ultimate Universe for a while now and it's interesting to see how far along it's come in 12 years.

Yeah, so as I mentioned I'm reading the current Ultimate Comics Spider-Man book. Anyway, I was playing catch up as I'd been out of the comic scene for a bit. I picked up the most recent issues #12, 13, and 14 and started reading them. So I finished 12, which finished off the story with Uncle Aaron, and that was good. Then I went into 13, and I knew about the Divided We Fall storyline and the fact that the Ultimate books would be using these as an overarching story that affects all of them. However, I don't know anything about the background of it so when I opened issue 13 I was so lost and they do very little to explain what the hell happened. Last issue, he's fighting Uncle Aaron, next one all of America seems to be destroyed. I'm not going to spend money just to pick up the other series, even though the note at the end of the comic recommends it.

I was just wondering if someone could fill me in on the details. I feel like Ultimates is the catalyst for many of the plot details affecting the other two books. I just want to know the general facts about what's going on. Apparently Washington, D.C. is decimated - how did that happen? Also, when exactly and why did Texas secede from the U.S.? Thanks.

Will they ever have a female human green lantern?

What about a non-North American Green Lantern?

I know, right? I'm supposed to believe that every most righteous, courageous, appropriate candidate for a Green Lantern ring on a planet full of 7 billion other people all happen to come from the some continent? Come on. This is supposed to be an intergalactic police force - pick another region, pick another country.
