There are very good reasons why I love Batman, and the opinions in the article only serve to enhance his awesomeness.

I'd love to support more indie books. There are plenty of great non mainstream books out there. I think Kickstarter is terrific place to discover new talent and support artists. I discovered Anathema there and am thrilled to be a part of it.

Avatar Press has put out some fun books, I really liked Anna Mercury. Lady Mechanika by Aspen was just beautiful.

Other Indy books I fell in love with are Myst, Netherworld, Orchid, Red Sonja, Queen Sonja, Witchblade, Darkness, Buffy, Angel & Faith, Star Wars Knights Errant, Tank Girl books, DV8: Gods and Monsters, Fables, Shrapnel.... wow the list goes on.

There are a lot of great books and talented people out there who are not with the big two. It just isn't quite as easy to find them.
