@ssejllenrad: You're right there. I've never really been a guy that gets into fights, but i liked boxing because after training in it for quite a few years i now find that i can throw a really hard and accurate punch, which is good. I would love to learn some form of martial arts, as you don't need to hurt your opponent so much if you are forced to fight. I really appreciated that the guy didn't hurt me to badly after he took me down, just a twisted arm and that was it. Where as if it would have been a punching match in the middle of the street it can get real messy which is not nice.
@cyberninja: Free pepper spray is also a good idea. I was down the city one weekend and the police used it on this guy that was resisting arrest and it even made my eyes sting and water (and i was standing a good distance away)
Aside from the obvious horrible nature of this crime.... A 13 year old girl is a Lesbian activist?? What? Really? Am I the only one who thinks that's a little...not right?
I took boxing lesson's for a few years, and regularly train at home on the bag. It didn't really help me when I got beaten up by this dude who was a martial artist, he was so quick on his feet and took me down in seconds. Gave me big respect for the discipline after that.
