Centaur Girl? 0

This issue takes events from previous issues and simply shows them from a different perspective, the perspective of a character never seen before and never seen again and in a sense it is almost useless except for the one thing that it does do. This issue provides a look at what Lucifer's personality and cockiness brought about...his own death...someone destroyed their life just to warn him of his impending doom but when her life was destroyed because of it she took back the warning she was goin...

Wow! 0

Wow, this has got to be the biggest surprise ever in this series, and though it sort of dismayed me at first that this did happen, I have to admit I'm pretty sure Lucifer will return from death soon enough, for this is only Issue 23 and there's still more than 50 more to go, and there all titled after him, so odds are he's in at least some of them. But still, I must admit this issue would be a great way to show Lucifer for the those type of people who hate Superman for being overpowered cause no...

The Basanos Make their Move 0

There was a little story about Elaine Belloc in this issue but nothing really that caught my attention, she was simply attacked by a resurrected Cestis and now no longer has a physical body and finds herself accompanied by a fallen cherub...nothing that exciting. But, something that made up for all of that was The Basanos, in this issue they finally decided to use Jill Presto so that they could go through with their plans, to take over the Void and I am truly amazed for I did not think it possib...

This issue, is really making me wonder what's in store for the rest of the series, after this issue's events I am beginning to anticipate a great many things but have no idea what is going to happen...which is why I want to keep reading. First of all, Michael seems to be plotting to go against God's will and wage war against Lucifer which would be an awesome battle in my opinion. And Elaine is about to be killed by some sort of demon impersonating her father, and I wonder if perhaps Lucifer will...

Utterly Amazing! 0

Another spectacular addition to the Lucifer series, this issue plays out two big stories, that of Lucifer and that of Sherri and her male friend, and as usual, neither the story of Lucifer (one of my favorite characters in comics), or of the two nobodies that are never to be seen again disappointed me. I'll start with the story of the two nobodies, I thought it was great to have a whole story about them heading for a goal and then dying just because they prayed in the house of Lucifer. As for Lu...

Lucifer's Justice 0

Once again, the life of those who dwell in Hell, watching it all unfold, was nothing short of amazing, I enjoyed it the whole way throughout, the "death" of Lys was a surprise and personally a disappointment to me, as I enjoyed her personality and that of her brother's but now...thanks to Rudd they are both gone, but I must say he is also an intriguing character and I'm hoping to meet him again. But what was the best part of the story was the outcome of the crushed rebellion, it was seeing Lucif...

And so the Story Continues... 0

Once again, this was a really good issue, and once again I have found myself fascinated with the world that Hell is, the origins of pain, the death of Lys' brother at the hands of her lover...it was all so unexpected, yet so fascinating. But above all of this, I have to say, that last page...was by far my favorite in the comic, its effect is lost unless the entire comic or maybe even story arc or series be read, but I must say it was a grand entrance, and now that Lucifer has arrived, all I want...

The Lake of Burning Sulfur? 0

Well, we got a real close-up on Hell in this issue and I have to say its nothing like how I always pictured it, its way cooler. The slaughter, the sex, the demons, the tortured souls, all of it combines to provide for an awesome story, a story of Lucifer's servants...his servants that he has forgotten about. It seems that in Hell Lucifer still has many demons willing to do anything for him...and that he plans to fight Amenadiel in Hell...so I am really hoping to see some sort of battle involving...

Lucifer is Full of Suprises 0

Okay, this issue was a little confusing at first, but by the end, when all was revealed I saw just how amazing this issue and Lucifer's intelligence were. In this issue, the creation as told in Genesis takes place except this time its Lucifer's version and he is the Maker and...the Serpent? Or at least that's what I thought at first, I was wondering why he was destroying the very man and woman he had just created, as after he tested them they begged him for death and so it was granted. But then ...

Meh 0

This comic had a really good concept to it in my opinion, a woman restored to life on Samhain to seek vengeance upon those who took her life, I think there's a lot of potential for me to enjoy this book. But, the way it was actually done, not so much enjoyed by me, I don't know exactly what was wrong with it, but I think it may have been a bit rushed, a little bit repetitive and just all around too fast-paced, we barely get to meet characters before she slaughters them. But I will hopefully cont...

LMFAO! Awesome 0

Okay, this comic was completely awesome, sure its not my usual read, there wasn't much of a nice story that keeps you going for many issues or characters that will be your favorite forever because they are so cool. No, I love this comic because its about a guy that reminds me of myself who tries to be a superhero and instead gets his ass kicked. The comic is absolutely hilarious and though I don't really see a point to it besides a laugh, I still plan on continuing to read it....

First Look at Hell 0

Once again this issue does not focus on Lucifer, yet still it was very good, as it focused on Elaine Belloc and its great to see the young daughter of Michael Demiurgos as she learns more about herself and the world around her, or at least the supernatural parts. First we get a flashback from last issue as Elaine learns of her astral projection and arrives at the meeting of the Lilim just as Mazikeen is put on trial, however she is noticed so she runs. Then we see the world Lucifer is fashioning...

Devil's Consort 0

Unfortunately, just for the sake of personal taste, this issue was a little less interesting to me as the focus shifted from Lucifer rather to Mazikeen but surprisingly she grew even more amazing in my eyes this issue, and I really loved the change in art style it makes her look more aesthetically pleasing in my opinion but then again I guess the point of this issue was her trying to regain her ugliness. Meeting the Lilim, hearing their origins and learning their goals were also really interesti...

Two Brothers 0

Okay, this issue was truly worthy of five stars and all of this can be placed upon even more new developments, no longer does Elaine's origin seem so grand, no, now the relationship between Lucifer and Michael as well as what they did is what has come to the forefront. Not only did Lucifer show truly just whose side he's on and how powerful he is when he confronted Sandalphon and stole both Michael and his daughter for himself. It amazes me when I think about the power and brilliance of Lucifer ...

Morningstar and Demiurgos 0

I'm starting to think I just give this series five stars if the issues suited my taste, but whatever it still gets a five cause I really did like it. Now it seems all my questions about Elaine are finally answered as this man is not her father, rather he was the "Joseph" in this tale of the virgin giving birth...except this time she is impregnated by none other than Michael Demiurgos who we see chained up in Sandalophon's chamber (he happens to be the one who orchestrated the birth) and Michael ...

The Origins of Belloc 0

Okay, now this comic was fantastic, and though I did enjoy the stuff with Lucifer and his plans for exterminating The Host of Heaven my main excitement comes from my confusion over the origin of Elaine Belloc. Now that we know for sure her parents are her real parents, the question is who is. The formerly suicidal man Lucifer spoke to last issue believes himself to be her father but the last panel seems to be disproving that and saying instead that her brother is an angel, whose uncle happens to...

Right Back to Confusion 0

I'm sure this issue would have been a lot better than I thought it was, if I had even the slightest idea what was going on. Lucifer's plans were once again very confusing and had to do with yet another new character, a man who wanted to commit suicide but after a talk with Lucifer decided not to. And then we have Mazikeen who is bound to do something reckless to restore her hideous form, though I do not know why still. However, the main story was Elaine Belloc and that one I can say I enjoyed, I...

A Prelude of Things to Come 0

This issue served its purpose quite well actually as a prelude, because the story seemingly had nothing to do with the series at all and its progression until the ending, more or less even the last panel...as now we know that something likely titanic is about to take place. In fact, the story introduced new characters, focused on them and had very little to do with the plot that had been established, or so it seemed. But then, we get our first glimpse of Lucifer in the issue when the main charac...

MATURE READERS SUGGESTED 0

The majority of the comic was rather mediocre, the gathering of the witches was far less exciting then I expected and though there was some interesting drama all together, I guess I felt it could have had more of a prominent role, and the ending...I mean I know its setting things up for a great story arc, but I would prefer we not find out the one behind everything until closer to the end or something. Anyway, to cover the attacks, I liked Skeleton Man meeting the creature that once haunted his ...

Back to Perfect! 0

Well, the Lucifer series returned right back to perfection in my mind with this issue, finally some progress was made with Lucifer in the realm of the Windowless Rooms, not only did he once again prove his cunning, he gained his wings! Now, I am really wondering what Lucifer will do with his wings and if possessing them will make him more powerful. Also, I have to say Mazikeen dying and then returning with a normal face...was weird, but awesome, now I just crave to know what her reaction will be...

A Letdown? 0

As much as it surprises me that I should say this, this issue was actually a let down to me, what is most curious about it all is that I would find this the least interesting of all the issues when it revolved around killing and fighting, I thought I liked that stuff... But really, even though Lucifer's cunning was magnificent and his murder of those "demigods" was pretty cool, it wasn't the best I've ever seen him at. And as for Mazikeen...she actually looked too hideous for me to even enjoy he...

MATURE READERS SUGGESTED 0

Well, this is one of those Tarot issues I just wish I hadn't read, as it is one of those that makes me look back at the series as a whole and be embarrassed at what I'm reading. The entire plot of this story was purposeless, totally out of character and just unexplained, so really it was just a ploy to get Raven and Tarot naked and covered in icing. I mean really, getting sexually abused by a living cookie and then saved by a Harry Potter wannabe who just wants to touch their "private parts". Li...

MATURE READERS SUGGESTED 0

This issue was a fantastic installment in the volume and though personally not what of my favorites in the four issue story arc it was a good issue nonetheless. I enjoyed the start of the issue tho, with Raven Hex and the blood covering her body, it brings back good memories of issue three, ah the foolish men of this world. Anyway, I enjoyed the resurrecting of Tarot's Father and then subsequent destruction and the terror Raven brought upon the city, even the sacrifice of their mother was a grea...

The Beginning 0

Okay, though I loved the art in this issue and the story is awesome, this issue in particular is not so much as it is simply the preparation for a story I sense is going to be very...colossal I guess. This issue itself prepares for a very awesome story but the majority of it is just a short, meaningless fight between five very attractive and deadly females and though normally I would find joy in that, I guess this time I didn't. But just knowing that the five are going after the Seven Deadly Sin...

Spectacular Issue 0

Okay, once again I must admit this series is one of the greatest of all time and I loved the art, the story, the characters, the cliffhangers, all of it was perfect and I couldn't have done it better myself. But there are just so many plot lines going at once its so hard to choose a favorite, I have to say the cunning of Lucifer is purely genius and makes for an interesting read but I also really enjoyed all the events that took place at the Lux and am really excited to see what will happen next...

MATURE READERS SUGGESTED 0

Well, I guess its time for yet another Tarot review and I must say this is one of those poor comics that in my opinion, ruin the reputation for such a great comic. I'm sorry but I didn't find this issue really enjoyable much at all, first off the story was lame: Tarot saving a child from the "Boogey Man" and then facing religious intolerance. It just wasn't much of anything at all and this time I didn't even understand why she stripped naked when she fought...I always thought the armor was there...

Perfect Conclusion 0

This issue was an awesome conclusion to the Exile story arc and I have to say, each character's role was completely awesome in this issue (except maybe Drizzt, but by being the main character in an awesome comic, I think he's done his part). Anyway, I had to say after reading this comic that the art seemed to be exceptionally phenomenal in this issue and if you can't read, at least look at the comic for its pictures. Now for me to explain what made each character so interesting to me this issue, ...

I Love this Series! 0

Well, I finally got to read Issue 2 of this awesome series and was not disappointed, I am really loving this series and think EVERYONE should read it. First off, I enjoyed this little intro to "The Garrison", it was a nice little story and it makes me wonder of things to come and I am really wanting to see this legendary swordsman in action. Another high point was the attack on Calibretto and Gully, and seeing the gloves in action, it was spectacular, the sight of watching a little girl murder a...

Story Slowing Down? 0

Though this was still a great issue, I feel the series is slowing down at least a little and I don't feel the same excitement I once did, I still love the series but yeah for some reason, this issue just didn't do it for me the same way the previous ones did. This was did involve an interesting little fiasco with Emma and her mother when memory transplanting almost causes Emma's mother to die...I also loved the confrontation between Emma and her father, makes me think of all the great things she...

MATURE READERS SUGGESTED 0

Despite the fact, that I enjoyed the comic I will not give it four or more stars because it was not really a perfect comic and should not be seen as such. It is not like the comic was one of those, "must-pick up issues that only a loser has never read", no it was just a good comic to me cause even though the story was a little childish it was entertaining and that's what I now look for in this series, entertainment. I also will not give this three stars or less because, even though it had more n...

OMG! This Series is Awesome! 0

Okay, to start off, I just have to admit, that every issue of this series so far is better than the last, this series is pure perfection and always keeps you excited for what is going to happen next. I also love the fact that so many stories are going on at once, cause no matter which one you choose to follow, you will not be disappointed.I'll start off by explaining my thoughts on the stories outside of actually focusing upon the Morningstar by saying that this Saul thing is really intriguing m...

Little Girl meets The Devil 0

This was an awesome story, an awesome story about a little girl, a little girl who can communicate with the dead. She seems to have so many powers related to death and yet at the same time, she seems unafraid of it all...making me a little curious about her origins, such as, how long has she known about these gifts.Anyways, I enjoyed the whole thing with Mona's murder and thinking Ellie is going to follow suit, I thought it was genius how she killed him tho and to top it all off, an appearance b...

Hmmm 0

Really, I only reviewed a Fathom comic because it was what everyone else was doing. Anyway, I must right away say, that the art in this comic and in this series in general is AMAZING! Really, this is some of the best art I have ever seen but was no surprise to me, I always expect perfection when I read a Fathom comic, but that's just in art. This issue loses some points to me, as the story did not peak my interest, a story of the destruction of an entire city could be good except all we get to se...

Pretty Good 0

This issue was a pretty good start to the X-Men: Die by the Sword miniseries but I must admit, besides the art the issue was nothing really fantastic and in fact was rather boring at times. I know it may just be me but the congregating and talking of a bunch of out-of-costume superheroes is boring in my opinion. However, the issue has one whole section that does intrigue me and makes me anticipate great things in the future. Mad Jim Jaspers is back and now he has a partner...I was pleased to see...

Emma the Psychic 0

This issue is awesome, the Frost family is just so intriguing and thanks to Emma's powers we get an even deeper look into their lives providing for an awesome issue. It is is in this comic that we actually see something about Emma that almost makes her seem to be the best role model in the family...a surprise from the Emma we all know now. There's her sisters, the one who is constantly high and the other who models against her father's wishes, then her brother who we learn is homosexual, another ...

Teenage Drama 0

This comic is mainly just a focus on the life of a troubled teen but at the same time it is quite enjoyable. Main themes in her life include watching her police officer get shot, her habit of smoking, her boundless anger and the mocking of her best friend Kara. However it is in this comic that her life completely changes when she gets pissed off by a gang leader, Hector and then attacks him. This causes him to promise her that she is dead, the two emerge from the infirmary/counseling centers bef...

Birds of Prey Not For Me? 0

You know, I once thought I would love the Birds of Prey series and wanted nothing more than to read it but truthfully this issue was one of the worst comics I have ever read, it was so boring and pointless that it boggled the mind. I wonder if the later issues are good but nevertheless I know that I did not enjoy this one.All the comic was was an extremely long and boring conversation between Dinah Lance and Barbara Gordon whilst the two did superhero work. The thing is though, not a single bit ...

Okay, for some reason I decided to read the first issue of Battle Chasers just to try out something new and see if I liked it or not and I must say this comic is AWESOME in every way! Usually it takes me awhile to read through a comic but this one was just too good to pause in. The art is amazing! The story even better! Awesome Climax! 0

Though my expansion into the comic book world has lowered this book down a star as I have read other comics of equal or greater magnitude and personally I don't really enjoy the art of this issue, I must say it is still really good and an awesome conclusion to The Crystal Shard.I enjoyed all the warfare, mythical battles are always my favorites, especially when magic gets involved and brings the fight to a whole new level.
