Hmm, 90000...

Wow...this is so weird...I'm pretty sure at one point, having this many points would be so incredibly exciting...of course that was back in the day when the 100th submitter had about 3000 points...now they have more than 17000...so rather than feeling more excited, I feel less, because I'm not an elite anymore, just another guy with a lot of points...well hopefully I'll be excited when I reach 100,000...I always wanted to be one of the first five to do so, maybe I can be the eighth one?

Oh, but on the bright side, I think my Lucifer page is now officially in second place in the running for the character page with the most points by a top contributor...though Drizzt is still obviously in the lead. Thankfully I have a lot more work planned for Lucifer, maybe I can get it up to 7,000 one day, who knows...

Anyways, thanks for the congrats everyone...

MY Shameless Self-Promotion!

Yeah, that's right TM, I stole your idea :D

Anyways, I realize my bio is way too long for many of your attention spans to handle but I still would like it if you'd at least try and read it...Darkchild reads it...he likes it, that counts for something right?

And if your worried you won't be able to catch up...well just start reading maybe a chapter a day and you'll find yourself waiting on me constantly, if you haven't noticed my bio's fan-fic thread is 5 months and 2 weeks old and I've only gotten up 11 chapters (out of a planned 32).

Anyways, for any of you who do take up the "Aztek Challenge", feedback would be nice...

Oh and if you notice similarities in characters to other characters in fiction or on the Vine, its because I like to draw my inspiration from the "characters" around me...so yeah...read the story...well...at least read maybe the first few chapters...if you don't like it after that, you can stop.

Oh, and here's the link

Vertigo versus Marvel

Now, I just realized you can no longer delete comments on your blog so I guess I will simply have to ignore the idiot's who post here not realizing the point of this thread, but anyways, I will explain the purpose, mainly the purpose is to reinforce my love of Vertigo Comics and to maybe pull over some more individuals to the world of comics I inhabit. So, yes this is an opinion-based thread, but not everyone's opinion is valid, for your opinion to be accepted here you have to have read a decent amount of each publisher (20 issues maybe?), otherwise you can't really compare the two. Besides that, the fact of the matter is, when it comes down to it, there may be far more Marvel fans than Vertigo fans but Marvel also receives all the publicity.

Now to relate to all of you Marvelites out there. I understand why everyone thinks Marvel is the best, back in the days when I didn't read comics and just read character's bios on the Internet I always read the Marvel ones and it sounded like Marvel had the coolest comics ever (I still think Marvel character bios manage to make their comics sound far better than they are). Than I graduated to actual comics, out of the first 22 comics I bought, I think only 1 wasn't Marvel (52 #1) and back then I loved Marvel, although my main motivation was, "these comics have the coolest art ever!" and the fact that I'd never really heard of Vertigo. ADDED NOTE: The Marvel comics I picked up in those first 22 are far better quality than current Marvel is...the company has gone down the drain if you ask me.

Well, than I read my first Vertigo comic (Lucifer #1 I believe, which might explain why its my favorite series). Now I'm not going to lie, the art wasn't pretty, and I've come to learn it rarely is with Vertigo, but over time I've grown accustomed to the art and looked beyond it to see that Vertigo has the best comics, I'm not saying its wrong to like Marvel better than Vertigo but to deny that Vertigo's best does not outrank Marvel's seems pure foolishness to me.

Hellblazer
100 Bullets
Animal Man
Fables
(Lucifer)
The Books of Magic
The Sandman
Preacher
Y: The Last Man
Transmetropolitan

If you've read any one of those (or even Vertigo minis) I'm sure you understand how hard it is to go back to the Uncanny X-Men or World War Hulk or Secret Invasion or something else Marvel and be excited...its just not the same. Personally I have no idea what is is about Vertigo that is so superior, but the superiority is there in my opinion...

Oh and those bold letters are just for you Vance, hope you enjoy them.

New Feat on the Top Submitters Section!

Well, it looks like I finally passed zero edge, and although it only puts me in 7th (when I've been 6th before) what is more important is it now means there are only four Viners I have never had more points than (fesak, Superkitty, G-Man and Shatterstar) but even more importantly is that it also means this is the first time I've passed someone who was once the Top Contributor on the Vine, woo!

You better look out fesak, I'm coming for you :D

(p.s. I know a lot of people contribute faster than me, but I am very thorough with my pages, so eventually I'll catch up)

Well there not current, but they are my favorites...

I don't read anything current, well except for Tarot maybe but I don't like the current stuff so much BUT here are my top three of all time.

#3 Tarot: Witch of the Black Rose

First off, yes we all know its a nudity-filled book about busty witches who fight magical threats and than celebrate with sexual relations, BUT...I still do enjoy some stuff from it, just pretend I'm only including the first twenty or so issues of the series, and not the newer stuff, although I admit the newer stuff does teach some nice life lessons and such.

#2 Books of Magic

Now before you get the wrong idea, no I am not talking about the seventy-five issue series, I'm only on issue two in that volume, rather I am talking about the four-issue miniseries that started it all. It is beyond words and I encourage ANY and EVERY comic book fan to pick it up, the art is amazing despite the era and the story is magnificent, especially if you enjoy the magical aspect of the DC Universe. In fact this series may have even grown to surpass Lucifer if it had more issues...pfft, who am I kidding, nothing can surpass Lucifer.

#1 Lucifer

Yes, the greatest comic book of all time, if you don't believe me read it for yourself. Yes, I won't lie, not every issue is flawless, in fact few are, the same thing with every series, but as a grand collection of comics, the series IS flawless, a magnificent story that I have truly enjoyed watching unfold. Anyways, if you are of age and maturity to read a comic, read Lucifer and join me as its loyal fanboy!!!

Depends on My Powers

If they were powers capable of allowing me to conquer the world, I wouldn't have a secret identity...because I'd rule the world anyway...but if they were something lame like shooting webs I'd have a secret identity so no one would know I'm the loser that shoots webs :D
