I really do like this story except for the fact that Bryan Hitch seems to be blatantly hating on the idea of faith. I've read stories that have advocated for and against the idea of faith but half the time Hitch just seems to be laughing at it and it get a little offensive. Aside from that I love his Aquaman and the story itself is extremely intriguing. I love the scope of it.

Since we're likely close to another creative turn around for everything I thought I'd go ahead and post creative teams I'd love to see on titles.

Superman - Greg Pak & Greg Capullo - Pak was writing an amazing Superman before all the crossover nonsense started happening and I believe he could hold the title better than anyone who's written it since the beginning of the New 52. I also belief this is just the type of project that would lend itself to Capullo. He seems like the type of artist who's in to projects that help him grow and this would be just that.

Batman - Genevieve Valentine & Mitch Gerads - Scott and Greg are obviously at the end of their rope and I think it'd be interesting to see more of a detective Batman again and I think Genevieve could give you that with the added benefit of the press that would come with a female writer. Mitch Gerads would also just lend himself to really doing a great different approach to the character.

Wonder Woman - Tom King & Aaron Kuder - They're two of the best up and comers working for DC and that's exactly what Wonder Woman needs at a time when her popularity is about to surge. King is in my opinion the best writer working at DC and is a thoughtful enough writer to avoid the pitfalls that beseech many of her former creators. Kuder's art would also serve to create an image of a strong powerful female who isn't overly sexualized. He also has the skills to really develop monsters that Diana could fight.

Flash - Heath Corson & Jorge Jimenez - After Bizarro Corson has proved his comedy chops as wells as his story telling ability in a fashion that just lends itself to a fun, lovable Flash title. Then Jorge Jimenez has the most dynamic art that works amazingly well with Speedsters.

Green Lantern - Matt Fraction & Doc Shaner - Fraction's exclusive with Marvel is almost up and DC would be remiss not to scoop him up. He would work as a writer who has great experience with revitilazation of concepts and I think GL needs that. I'm not saying that the book is awful but that being a space opera it is harder to sell and would benefit from big ideas. Doc Shaner has proven that he has some of the best up and coming pencils and even did a fabulous GL issue with Tom King. It's just gorgeous art.

I think I'll leave it at that. I hope anyone who made it this far enjoyed my terribly off topic comment!

I'm really interested to see next months solicits. I can't see some of these creative teams lasting too much longer especially with the obvious mandates to go backwards in some of the stories. I'm interested to see if creative teams for Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, or Superman change because I think their biggest problem has been lack of strength in their core titles. They've put out some fabulous comics otherwise and even within the core Batman, Cyborg, and Justice League have all made for great reads. I'm also pumped to see what new books they might roll out! Any thoughts?

Can I state that maybe the reason so many people have a problem with things in this trailer as well as DC properties in general especially in proportion to Marvel properties is that we're talking about 75 years of different takes on character with multiple takes becoming world-wide phenomenons and dozens becoming comic classics. This lead to fact that we all have our different views and opinions on what makes each of these characters great, so maybe instead of being mad that the movie isn't making your explicit version of the character look into how they fit into this movie universe and see what they're saying about the world. I don't believe there's anything in this trailer that's truly bad beyond its differentiation from any certain person's version of the source material. I say "any certain person's version" because with 75 years of history everyone can pull different source material and there can be source material that directly contradicts others. For example many people are panning this Lex for the mad-scientist campiness when if you go back to the silver age pre-COIE that's what he was, it's in the source material. Then however you have a guy above in the comments claiming this can't be the real Wonder Woman if she's using lethal weapons because the original intent was to be against violence. The point being that characters grow and evolve and there are, in some cases, hundreds of versions. The movie, and trailer, have to be examined for what each of these versions of the character bring to the movie, not what they bring from the page.

Honestly month in and month out Martian Manhunter has been one of the most exciting things to see solicits for and to read. It's incredibly creative and so much fun. And if I can jump in the conversation about Wonder Woman's costume I think what's crazy is that during the Finch's Wonder Woman run aside from the main costume (the bathing suit and then the new costume) he's designed and drawn her in other outfits that look awesome. For example in their second issue when they're fighting the Stymphalian birds, or in the next issue when they introduce the God of War look. Those both look awesome and with a little tweaking could be a great main costume. I think it'd almost be interesting if her costume morphed like on its own depending on what she was doing, like if she was at war it could be the God of War look, but if she was speaking at a rally or meeting a foreign dignitary it could be something more elegant with like the cloth skirt and so on.

@inferiorego: Could I ask what's holding you back? Is it something on the art side or the story side?

The weirdness definitely becomes a really great part of the book and I whole heartedly disagree that this is anything less than 5/5. The meta textual conversation is thoughtful and introspective without sacrificing character development. I may be biased though as I would follow Tom King into anything.

I know the forgotten Titan is probably just in reference to the team in general but here's to hoping that it's Wally

I think it's a complicated issue in a way, on one hand Cap just stopped blatant murdering by a radical terrorist group, but he sacrificed his principles and the principles of the country he stands for to do it. I don't want to say that the writer is blatantly attacking conservatives cause I see it more as a literary work questioning what the meaning of America is. It's a potent and complicated question. It's the question of do we give in or stand strong with our laws and principles and are we willing to do that if it means people's lives. It's not an easily answered question
