Avengers 13 0

I've always been a huge Avengers fan, even through good writers and bad ones. This is no exception...... I do admit that this issue was quite funny, and a giggle then smile came did from my lips. It just that Bendis has no idea how to put a characters actual personality down on paper, or he takes the characters personality to an extreme left. I just can not believe all the time Bendis spent on making Spiderwoman a strong character to fight along side the likes of Thor and Iron Man that he would ...

Thunderstrike 0

I was a huge Thunderstrike fan back in the day. So naturally I picked-up this new series of Kevin taking the mantle of his father. I do have to agree with both Adamwarlock and Blurredview on how the series could have been better as far as writing goes. Tom Defalco is one of Marvels greats and I expected a lot more from him. I did appreciate the series for all the action it had. A lot of writers now a days tends to over dramatize the character in battle, like say Matt Fraction on Iron Man. A goo...

Hawkeye: Blind Spot #3 0

McCann has not been disappointing at all with his characterization forming of good ol' Clint Barton. This is a wonderful series for my favorite archer. The only thing that makes me give this series a 4 and not a 5, is that Barney should be made more of a mercenary type. Instead of a straight-up bad guy. I mean the way he died was pure heroic, now it cancels that classic issue out. Oh well, I guess we will see more character development next issue....

Dracula, The Company of Monsters 0

I was so hyped about this comics coming out. After all one of my favorite writers was at the helm. Yet, after reading it and re-reading it...I was disappointment. The whole story mostly consisted of Dracula's history. Which is interesting, but boring. I will give this series two more issues to either keep buying it or to drop it....

Image United 0

In the 90's I was huge fan of Image, Marvel, DC, and Valiant. So picking-up this title was a necessity for me. The first two issues were really awesome, but then this issue came out, and all I can say is blah! Besides of it having the Image curse of being late, it lacked insight of the characters personality. I think that this title should end on the next issue, but has two more. I fear that the other two more issues would make this title a forgotten memory, instead of an awesome one. ...

Avengers #4 0

Believe or not, but Bendis actually still haves my interest. A lot of surprising character pop-ups, and a whole lot of action. Comics today tend to sway from so much action. Well I love action..started reading and buying comics in the late 70's and 80's. I started really reading and enjoying them in the 90's, when action was a big part of each story. The only fault that I have with this story so far is Hawkeye is constantly held back in the background. Other than that this Avengers story arc has...

Darkwing Duck 0

When I was in high school I loved this show. Now that it is out in comic form, I thought that I would give it a shot. I'm also trying to get my son into reading family friendly comics. Anyways to my surprise, this comic was awesome. It had grand funny characterization and ended-up being an out-most joy to read. Heck, I think that the comic might even be better than the cartoon....

Review: Hawkeye and Mockingbird 0

First off let me start off in saying that Hawkeye  was my first introduction into comics. My first comic book that I ever picked-up was Avengers #189, yes I am that old. Ever since then I have been hooked on the character, even after the mid-nineties scare of the Crossing. I have waited to give my thumbs-up for this series, because lets face it there is way too many first issue grabbers. Then a huge let down after the second and third issue.  I am proud to say, that does not hold true for this s...

Death of Dracula 0

I started collecting around the time, Tomb of Dracula ended. I have bought over 50 issues in back-stock since. I am a huge fan of Dracula in comics and the movies.  I thought this was a above average read, but the problem that I had was that Dracula fell  way to easley. Other than that it was a good introduction into the future X-Men epic and a good inside to Marvel's vampire community....

Avengers #189 0

This was my first comic that I ever picked-up. Oh....The memories...oh sweet memories.... Anyways Clint Barton shows us that he is all that when he takes on Deathbird all by his lonesome self. Plus, he gives her a big smack of a kiss so she can always remember him. This is a great read, and a heck of a funny ending. All those Clint Barton fans must make this a must read....

My review for "Other Worlds,Other Wars" 0

I love the current storyline. I mean it was going to happen eventually going to happen that Magnus would showed-up. Yet, this issue did have a lot of action and key moments in it. Its just the art was horrible! I had a hard time keeping focus on the story, because of it. The art is the only reason that this great comic receives a low rating from me thus far....

Mighty Avengers 15 0

The writer should have done his research. Hank and Jan has never re-married after the slap incident. They have reconcialed a couple of times and that is it. Now for not doing his resaerch or even the editor, a million of new readers are mis-informed. What a shame....I do however like the whole Secret Invasion idea and story thus far. Hank character is a little too sob for my liking. I enjoyed him best in before the whole slap incident. He seams to unsure about anything now a days. Don't get me s...

A good read 0

I thought that this issue was a good read. The suspence of who actually died leaves you speechless. The only thing I did not like it was a simple mistake of the writers. On page ten, Stature states that her father Scott Lang fought the Taskmaster just once. Scott Lang as Ant-Man actually fought the Taskmaster four different times. The first time with the Avengers, second with just Hawkeye, the third with Spider-man, and lastly with a rag-tag team of Avengers. Over-all a good read. The whole MVP ...
