I think it would make things more interesting between the two, it would be something different. They would obviously have the "were the only two of our kind" relationship, so it's not like she has much to chose from :l

They could try to make a real connection between them, but hopefully it's not forced and they expand on their relationship and why they feel love for each other.

well said. thanks for the input. of course they'd have to make M'gann act a bit older similarly to her Young Justice Invasion appearance.

A

thanks for posting. how would you see that playing out? what made you choose this one?

B.

C is the absolute worst scenario.

I'm going to go against everyone and go D.

i wouldnt say the worst. a more mature M'gann wouldn't be to bad of a love interest and would be quite tempting seeing as they're presumably the last Martians.

Because:

  1. It would be too cliche and predictable.
  2. It would ruin what the character used to be.

a combination between A and B. Something like the Batman robin relation

Which character, J'onn or M'gann

I've been happy that DC has been mostly veering away from the sidekick themes by separating these characters from their partners.

So that rules out A & B. I don't want C at all and hope she develops other interests.

fair enough. i guess we wouldn't really be losing anything in this case because M'gann and J'onn were never partners.

@avenging_x_bolt: Yeah, it's the only true love relationship MMH will ever get and be truly happy. I'm sure he's had other non Martian girlfriends, but he can't ever create a family unless she's a Martian. Grant Morrison kind of mentioned that before, on how different the genetics are between Supes and Lois aren't the same, so they can't have a kid. But a lot of writers like to avoid the genetic barrier and just let aliens a human have kids anyways. Which is fine it's comics, so some physical barriers like that don't have to matter.

I personally feel MMH needs to be with another Martian, but that's just me. Their not my otp or whatever my sister keeps saying :P

I strongly disagree with this part. one does not need children to truly love someone or be happy. But if he did, he's a shapeshifter right? couldn't he just take a human form and have children, or adopt?

why not the same relation in young justice.

I wouldn't mind if they introduced her as J'onn's long-lost daughter in the New 52 or something like that. I never felt like they did much with the White Martian backstory.

I would go for B. A lot of the big named DC heroes have sidekicks or students. Superman has Supergirl, Batman has Robin, Wonder Woman has Wonder Girl, Flash has Kid Flash, Aquaman (used to) have Aqualad, and so forth. Martian Manhunter in the New 52 has absolute control over his powers and abilities. His intelligence seems to span much further than any human being at the moment. To me, it would be fantastic to see him try to take on a naive, uneducated student and teach her how to master such a complicated powerset.

Of course, the time spent on this relationship would necessitate a new book series. That's something I don't think any MMH fan would mind :D

Since its N52 it'll end up D

A or B.I wouldn't mind both.

you're probably right. however it is possible she survived the martian massacre assuming her cameo in the first Teen Titans issue actually meant anything.

However as Derman previously mentioned, DC is splitting up the youngsters from their adult counterparts which is probably what you're talking about.

its possible. there wouldn't really be reason for her to pretend to be green in the new 52 if im not mistaken

this would be awesome and sad at the same time. it almost feels like admitting that J'onn cant hold a series without M'gann.

B. There was nothing wrong with the idea of Miss Martian being a White Martian that preferred the Green Martian way. The sad thing was that they never really explored it.

no is saying otherwise. its simply to late to explore it now because in the new 52 White Martians and Green lived in harmony.

@avenging_x_bolt: Did they? Eh... bugger, I suppose it was done to avoid the Oan-connection.

I think it would be an even more interesting story if she were his niece AND a love interest...

@avenging_x_bolt: eh the others didn't appeal to me as much and being a love interest seems to cliche just because they are are the last two Martians.
