Bio: January 25th, 1943. The Battle of The Atlantic had taken its toll on many allied troops against the Nazi, however things were beginning to look up. It was the HMS Nobility's last night before its voyage home, celebrations were high and the battle for these hardened naval soldiers, looked to be over. That night, HMS Nobility fell into the black. Many of the crew escaped thanks to one man, a young crewman by the name of Jon Ghillyer, who was believed to have perished with the ship. Back in Britain, he was hailed the Atlantic Hero. Little did the world know, that Ghillyer had been rescued himself.
Deep beneath the ocean, aquatic humanoids - Merisians - had watched man battle each other far above their home, Atlantis. As Ghillyer was dragged to their depths, the Merisians chose to save him. In Atlantis, Ghillyer learned to live by the Merisian code, and thus was granted the abilities needed to cope with Atlantis' extreme conditions.
In time, the Atlantic Hero returned to the surface to protect mankind with his new-found abilities, and became an agent for the International Security Bureau to protect the world he fought to free.
- served with the SAS for 18 months before ISB took him on.
- Jon's return was kept from the public in order to keep the enemy from knowing of their new 'asset'.
- Jon kept his whereabouts since WW2 unknown to the government to ensure the safety of Atlantis.
- The staff given to Jon before he left Atlantis is made of Merisian Steel; this alloy can be split down the middle to become nightsticks and when in this form can also be shifted into throwing discs, allowing a tactical advantage in non-lethal combat.
