Personality: Artair is different. He's equal amounts instability and stability. Unpredictable one moment, then calm and collected the next. For the sake of appearances, though, he puts forward a facade of eccentricity to those he meets. A facade that has yet to be detected for what's underneath.
Origin of Powers: Experiment gone wrong, Mutation.
Powers:
- Time Manipulation: To a degree, Artair can manipulate time. The full extent is unknown, but by himself he can travel back and forth 5 years at maximum. With his time machine, he has no limits to where he can go. It is unknown if he can use his time manipulation tactically in a fight or not, though he has displayed mastery of it in casual interactions.
- Immortality: Like his counterpart, Saint is physically frozen. At a young age, the experiment completely halted his aging process.
- Superhuman Speed: Able to run fast enough to break the sound barrier.
- Superhuman Stamina: He can go 48 hours before fatigue begins to severely impair him.
- Superhuman Intelligence: Perhaps the only power he has has that was not caused by the experiment, his intelligence is high enough to put him in the top 10 beings on Earth. He can memorize and replicate almost anything he sees.
- Physical Needs: Unlike a human, he does not need to eat, drink, or sleep. While he can still enjoy those, going without them would not be detrimental to his body.
- Healing Factor: Artair has created his own healing factor. He has long since altered his DNA so that regular injections are no longer required.
- Telepathic/Mental Attack Immunity: Artair's unique physical makeup extends to his brain. As a result of the experiment that changed him, he has become literally invulnerable to any and all assaults/probings on his mind. Attempts at controlling him or manipulating his will have likewise failed on every occasion.
- Omnilingualist: Artair is able to completely understand and reproduce any language he comes into contact with after reading or hearing it for roughly thirty seconds.
- Invisible to Visions/Foresight/Future Sight/etc.: Oddly enough, he does not show up in visions. When he does, he appears as a blacked-out, blurry figure. This makes it almost impossible to discern ahead of time what he is going to do.
Skills/Abilities:
- Time theorist/Scientist: As he is a time manipulator, he knows a thing or two about how it works. He’s even managed to build a working time machine.
- Polymath: His old age has given him time to learn many things, and he would be classified as a polymath as a result.
- Inventor: Artair seems to be able to build anything out of spare parts. The limits of his skill are nearly nonexistent.
- Marksman: His father taught the boy how to hunt and fire a gun from a young age, so he knows how to shoot remarkably well.
- Unpredictability: Much like his former friend and current nemesis, he is impossible to read. One moment he may appear to be perfectly calm, and then he can spring into action, shouting and throwing things left and right.
- Licensed Doctor: Artair has earned his Doctorate in numerous fields of medicine. As such, he is one of the most qualified doctors in the world.
Misc:
- Two Heart cardiovascular system: The accident that granted him his powers also permanently altered his cardiovascular system. Artair has formed one or two solid theories on what caused it, but he now has a cardiovascular system built around two hearts, both smaller than a normal human heart. Thus, destroying one of his hearts would not stop him, allowing him to fight on.
Time Machine/Device
Artair's current working model takes the shape of a pocketwatch. Unlike most pocketwatches, it has a face on both sides. The top side contains a dial for the date and a miniature clock for the time. The bottom side contains a complex map. All he has to do is set both sides and click the button on the top, and he's whisked off to wherever he wants to be.
