Well, we launch our 2nd Kickstarter this week for our

#1 Issue of The Devil's Pool "The Ground You Stand On".

I'm a little nervous but not quite as much as the first one. Mostly I worry for our team as this is a very long and stressful process. For those of you that think crowd funding is simply putting up good work...... well I'm here to tell you is a LOT more than just doing good work.

We're reaching about 1,200 on our facebook posts with our followers and they are worn out with promo's. We email, we call and we send letters. Then we do it all over again. We each (of 4) have a 500+ friend list and we're posting and reposing everything possible. Basically "no" from anyone isn't really an acceptable answer and living that way is tough on friendships. But the life of a self promoter isn't an easy one.

It's hard to be told "I'm really not into that stuff". You want to respond with,... but you're into our friendship right? and if you had something that you loved and was this passionate about I'd support your efforts? So why not buy a copy of my book for 9.00 dang it? And why are you making me beg you? Now I'm mad that you made me beg and I think that shirt you are waring looks like it belongs on a teenage girl with very very poor taste in clothing or possible color blind....... and your cat is actually just an @$$hole it's not opinionated, it's just a jerk and no one wanted to tell you that to your face......

It's getting ready to turn into 2013 and with that comes a onslaught of responsibilities with our comic The Devil's Pool and also our company ARKVINDITA.

Man, I wish I felt more ...at ease. But I'm scared sh!tless. I'm the Marketing guy. I do promotions, merch, planning and forward motion items... for ARKVINDICTA. But I'm also doing layout and helping with production of the comic. Three other people have contributed their time and talents to this as well as a dozen actors and models. I just don't want to let them down.

Well it's been 35 days and we've (as of right now) have hit our funding goal for Kickstarter. I should be happy and I am. But I'm also cautious. I witnessed a lot of very talented people not reach their goals during this time and I have to wonder what is it that I should take away from that?

I don't believe that I am better then these others. Nor do I believe that I ran faster, jumped higher or loved more passionately my own project greater than they did. What I do believe is that I'm on a path to something that needs to be done. Or I'd rather say My project "The Devil's Pool" needs to be done and I was lucky enough to be put in it's path.

Tonight we plan to celebrate our success. I hope that we also plan to grieve for our loss of self a little. Because I am convenced that fame will come to our project The Devil's Pool. I worry that I've not truly grasped what that will mean for me and our team.

This morning we marked our first successful kickstarter funding of The Devil's Pool.

No I'm not delusional and now believe I'm successful as a comic book creator (as part of ARKVINDICTA) but I do believe this is the turning point of a new chapter in my life and it deserves to be noted.

So, I'll leve this post as just that for now.

Well by all accounts and information we're doing well. We're up on every list and we're 95% confident that our kickstarter will get funded.... We're all smiles and that worries me.

I submitted our professional apps to attend comic con int this year. I know we will participate in regional events and in all honestly it's more beneficial to us to do so. But the idea of attending the big bertha of the comic-cons ,..well that's a pretty big carrot. it gives us something to work towards. I like that.

I backed the Cincinnati comicon and actually I'm excited for the opportunity to walk into the fist of those events. Coming form the nutrition health industry it's amazing how powerful it is to be able to say "I've been coming here since this one first started".

this is a snippet of a promo piece we'll be putting out today hopefully. We're trying to get up the the 80% mark on our kickstarter first.
