Christopher Hitchens—the incomparable critic, masterful rhetorician, fiery wit, and fearless bon vivant—died today at the age of 62. Hitchens was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in the spring of 2010, just after the publication of his memoir, Hitch-22, and began chemotherapy soon after. His matchless prose has appeared in Vanity Fair since 1992, when he was named contributing editor.

The world has lost a profound and irreplaceable intellectual. RIP Hitch.

I think this. Seeing as Hitchens was far more opposed to certain subjects far more vehemently than Dawkins, but I only ever see people criticizing Dawkins on CV. Well the term I used was Free Thinker... but I guess we could call Dawkins a Great Thinker too.

that's sort of surprising... Hitchens is one of the more popular  Free Thinkers of this Generation... only guys I can think of that comes to mind with him are Sam Harris and Richard Dawkins... maybe Daniel Dennett too.

Christopher Hitchens was a Very Unique Fellow... though I do not agree with all of his views... many of them on Religion in General I feel are On Point. Dude will be Missed. Though his Legacy will live on through the Free Thinking Community and several YouTube videos where he Pwned Religion Concepts.
