"Commander, tell the troops to stand down" President Stark calmly ordered, looking at his security chief with a relax smile. "I will handle this little affair, I doubt "SWORD" will harm innocents, don't you agree?" Lightly chuckling, the President did not even bother wearing his armor, instead, left the White House in a standard, formal black suit. Troops in all sides had already lowered their guns as per his order, and his personal armored Peak troops had averted from being released. Slowly walking to the front of the gates, which opened with a little creek, President Stark thankfully nodded to some of the soldiers, waved to a few onlookers, and addressed the man brandishing the sword with a calm, controlled tone. "Mr Yashimora, it has come to my attention you want a meeting?" He shrugged, "And if you are hoping to fight me, in the middle of the street..." Stark rudely chuckled,"which is full of civilians, you're insane" Walking back into the secure gates of the White House, Stark glanced back. "I'm going to be sitting inside, and if you intend to attack, know that you will be killing brothers, husbands, sons and even wife's" Patting a soldiers shoulder, "and I even hear there's a school tour currently in the White House today, good timing, Mr Yashimora...".

The President stood, boldly addressing the worlds press agencies and international communities to possibly the single largest proclamation by a modern politician to date, attired informally and wearing his iconic Peak suit, Anthony began with a little cough, eyes moving through the room and targeting specific cameras as he spoke his dark words.
"People of the world. The United States has suffered a devastating blow. Not one, but two attacks upon American soil. Many of you have asked me why the US Military did not intervene during the invasion of our..."beloved" Gothic City..." A little laugh was heard in the room as the aristocrats present had always hated Gothic, it was a cesspit of filth and everything wrong with the modern world. "It has been said to me that the attacks upon Gothic City were instigated and planned out by the terrorist factions known as the Arcani, and the infamous criminal known as Brahma Bull.
Gothic City has been destroyed...But not by this invasion, by the cancerous criminality which has slowly swept through and annihilated any hope of a return to a life even considered normal for the population of Gothic," He paused, looking down at some papers for authenticity, then looked back up, "the real reason we did not intervene in the Gothic Invasion was due to the fact; we had decided a solution for the city beforehand, and were awaiting validation and authorization from the required members of our senate to legalize this future action" He began, reading down from a new legislation.
"From this day forward Gothic City shall be known as an officially declared "No Man's Land"...All bridges going too and from the city shall be destroyed and all currents residents who wish to leave will be given a 48 hour period. Evacuation procedures and centers have already been created. Nobody will lose any money or assets from lost homes, all Gothic Residents shall be reimbursed with a special fund set up by me in the wake of the incidents. Gothic City is no longer part of the United States of America, and from this day forward; Will receive no aid, in any shape or form."
This would be an easy move for the apathetic nature of Stark. "Any residents who stay, will do so of their own accord. Actions have consequences, remember this." Nodding, the President had a final thing to address. "Many of you have asked me...Why is Avalon, the global enterprise in the United States allowed to legally hold an international terrorist without warrant? Ladies and Gentlemen, Avalon is not above the law. The Director of Shield and myself have been in talks, and Avalon will be contacted shortly by my official aides. That is all" Stepping away from the podium, a sly smirk decorated the Presidents face.
