Well first I think it was more of a contained 616 story rather than an AU story , the book was 108 pages so they resolved it by the end without getting the rest of marvel involved which they couldn't have anyways because of the events of the story no one but mutants were left in the world.
and to answer your question she was actually defeated, I don't wanna spoil it but what happens is that she kinda restores everything and goes back where she came from

Lol over all quite true. I mean with the whole announcement of her 1st solo ongoing and her position in the X-Men in general becoming more integral as it was before she got married. On top of her solo she is taking over as Headmaster of the JGS and will hopefully maintain the leadership role of the XX-Men, and still have a core role (As Yost has confirmed she will remain on the roster) on the Amazing X-Men team. And I think she will still be apart of the supporting cast in Nightcrawler's solo (and hopefully he shows up in hers) and Wolverine's book as well. She is the rise :-)!!! My elation is beyond words.

When i was younger i was such a RoLo Fan i would stay up reading fan fiction i read a Rolo version of the the Bodyguard before i even knew that was a movie.............but now that am older and i understand the characters better i don't ship them Ororo is such a lover of life and in my opinion the embodiment of the X-men and there values......i don't see her having a Romantic relationship with a serial killer(his killed a lot of people there for he is technically a serial killer) Plus he's like 100+ years old when i look at them am like.......
