I've never liked Grant Morrison's Batman runs in particular. Arkham Asylum is phenomenal, but hardly for the script - it's the tone and the atmosphere that set it apart and none of it is done any service via the dialog. And his stuff like Batman & Robin just always struck me as the perverse kind of dark; kind of a dank take on Gotham, as opposed to psychologically rich.
So yeah. Gonna have to go with Superman on this one.
I had gone off Lego to get into more TPBs. With all this new wave stuff coming through I may find the inclination to start collecting again... euurgh damn you Comic Viiiine
What is that... that big videogame level room they're in? With the gears and the... and then there's the big open one that is clearly all just built in a computer and... god. It's all so fake and dumb and bad. I really miss Sam Raimi. He breathed a life into his Spider-Man's world that is sorely lacking in this interpretation.
I was always under the impression her ouftit was supposed to be rubber/latex, this clothing looks more like a soft fabric. I could be well mistaken. And I'm quite happy that it looks quite a lot like the famous Alex Ross cover, is that the primary source on this one?
I don't at all like the voice of Deathstroke. Well, the voice is fine, but the acting is far less convincing than... wait, wasn't the last voice of Deathstroke (in Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox) Ron Perlman?
Okay well, yeah, everything pales compared to Ron Perlman.
