Is it just me, or are there too many bloody cliffhangers in the Teen Titans? Ever since McKeever's run between the end 2007-and mid-2009, I have notice certain cliffhangers that the book has not yet picked up where the stories left off (even Titans related books note created by McKeever):
1.) Project Quantum: As a part of the origin that created fellow Titan Bombshell, seen/heard in #63-65, her own mother is a part of a rogue factor within Project Quantum. After failing to kill Bombshell, Project Quantum moves forward with a new direction. 2.) Brother Blood: Since the end of #67 (a FACES OF EVIL issue), he was seen approaching an unknown woman (who has a strange tattoo), looking to make her his new Mother Mayhem 3.) Terror Titans: After their appearances from #57-60 and in their own book #1-6, Clock King abandons his pawns (and killed his ex-girlfriend Disruptor) and defeated by Ravager BUT was unable to keep him from escaping. The remaining Terror Titans (Dreadbolt/Bolt II, Persauder and Copperhead II) escape from custody two weeks after their arrest, and set out to get revenge on Clock King. 4.) Lillian 'Sweet Lili' Worth: The mother to Rose Wilson/Ravager and former lover to Slade Wilson/Deathstroke, was last seen Deathstroke #45 where she sacrificed herself to kill Rose's kidnapper with a jeep and was thrown off a cliff. Then in a Blackest Night tie-in #78, Rose is convinced her mother is still alive, since she was the one family connection that did not return as a Black Lantern. 5.) Phantom Limbs: As a part of Orr's Project M, wounded soldiers of the US Army were given cybernetic implants from Cyborg's technology from TTSpotlight: Cyborg #5. The mini-series brought old and new faces, as well as a cliffhanger at the end of the series (#6): In effort to insure that his technology would not be used for killing, Cyborg replaced the Phantom Limbs' deadly weapons with ordinary prosthetics. Unknown to Victor, Caleb Wilkerson/Blend used his adaptive camouflage to evade capture. With Caleb's surviving tech, this may not be the end of The Phantom Limbs. 6.) The Titans East Massacre: Before volume 2 of Titans began, Cyborg formed a new Titans team composed of Hawk III, Dove II, Little Barda, Power Boy, Lagoon Lad, Son of Vulcan, and Anima. During a training exercise, Power Boy was killed by The Sons of Trigon. The team was attacked and was left for dead. Known survivors: Hawk & Dove (Hawk died later in Blackest Night: Titans #1), Anima (died later in Faces of Evil: Promethus #1), Little Barda and Lagoon Boy (Both Lil Barda and Lagoon have not been seen since recovery) 7.) The Last 3 H'San Natall Hybrids: The origin states that 9 Earth women were impregnated with alien DNA, and so far 6 have been identified (Risk, Argent, Hotspot, Prysm, Frinage and Scorch). Only 3 remain... 8.) Origins and Omens - Teen Titans: six images of the teams future before BLACKEST NIGHT were shown, show far 5 came true (Rose holding a sword at a weak Wonder Girl, Red Devil roasted in human form, pregnant woman: 'Raven' = Wyld, Bart returns as Kid Flash....maybe, and Static joining the team), but nothing about BLUE BEETLE AND WONDER GIRL KISSING. Pregnant teen could be Sun Girl carrying Inertia's baby... 9.) Blue Beetle/Traci 13/Aquagirl Affair: Aquagirl was in love with Blue Beetle in #72-74 and was trying to convince him to cheat on his girlfriend Traci. 10.) Talon: The Earth-3 of Robin, only evil. Was turned hero when dating DUELA DENT/Joker's Daughter. Still a mystery of how she and Talon managed to travel between worlds. And Talon's current whereabouts since Countdown to Final Crisis are unknown.... ....
As I watch every Friday premire episode of the new hit animated series Young Justice, I have notice something EXTRAORDINARY out of the ordinary: Despite the fact is NOT named TEEN TITANS (and that most of their members are Titans - Dick/Robin, Wally/Kid Flash, Kaldur'ham/Aqualad, Kon-El/Conner/Superboy and M'gnn/Megan/Miss Martian), the bond between SUPERBOY AND MISS MARTIAN seems to the show's ideal LOVE INTEREST.
After watching the last 2 episodes ('Downtime' and 'Bereft'), it seemed obvious that sparks were flying, but the flames were not tourched (which we will see eventually at some point...). DESPITE the differences between these two characters from the comics, I have been asking myself, "Superboy + Miss Marian = In The Comics?" Currently, Superboy 'dumps' long-time girlfriend and teammate Cassie/Wonder Girl (but still remain as friends), and hints have shown that his next love interest could Deathstroke's daughter, Rose/Ravager, as seen for up coming cover of TEEN TITANS #95 FOR MAY 2011 (2 months away from now...).
Despite the fact that Miss Martian will be appearing in the new ONGOING SERIES of STATIC SHOCK, I can never imagin both her and Superboy together.....and how the show us a 'relationship' between the two, it would seem intereting to experiement the relationship in mainstream comics....
Reading back on Villains United, the Secret Society of Supervillains (or Society as they were simply called throughout INFINITE CRISIS) seemed nearly invincible. Controlled by six of the greatest super-villains ever assembled in the DC Universe (Alex Luthor from Earth-3/Lex Luthor, The Calculator, Dr. Psycho, Deathstroke, Talia Al Ghul, and Black Adam), it occurred to me that these guys have children and never considered having a little league version of the Society (like how the Justice League has Teen Titans.....but now a group called the Terror Titans might now accomplish that concept.). If there was a 'Young Society', here's what the group council would look like and my reasons:
Lex Luthor = Superboy (Back in the Teen Titans/Outsiders crossover, The Insiders, Luthor triggered a secret word that made Superboy go berserk and turn against his teammates)
The Calculator = Wendy Harris/Proxy (Although she is a heroine, I would like to see her fall and follow in her father's footsteps and find some means to walk again...)
Dr. Psycho = unknown (Dr. Psycho does not seem to have a interest about having children....He should think about his evil legacy.)
Deathstroke the Terminator = The Ravager V (When Rose was attacked by her evil uncle, Slade 'saves' her and pushes her to kill her uncle and then get's drugged to become more violent. Ravager's older brother, Jericho, would have been an interesting choice, but there is some mystic force to make him go insane)
Talia Al Ghul = Damien Wayne/Robin (Before switching sides from bad to good, I kinda prefer the spoiled and violent Damien)
Black Adam = Osiris (Although a hero from the beginning, Osiris is becoming a bit darker thanks to the Brightest Day run on Deathstroke's Titans...) 3 Comments
If you think Stan Lee's GUARDIAN PROJECT was interesting, check out his next big idea coming soon on November 30, 2011: ROMEO & JULIET: THE WAR.
In this comic book version of William Shakespeare classic love story, "Two groups of superhuman soldiers who turn the Empire of Verona into the most powerful territory on Earth. The Montagues, powerful cyborgs made of artificial DNA, and the Capulets, genetically-enhanced humans known for their speed and agility, who work in tandem to destroy all threats to Verona. With no one left to fight, they have a new enemy - each other. When a young Montague boy, Romeo, and Capulet girl, Juliet, fall in love, they secretly plan to marry, hoping their union will bring peace to the warring factions. But forces beyond their control begin to conspire against them, threatening their love, their lives…and the Empire of Verona. "
I for one think it sounds interesting that Stan Lee tackles a famous play as a comic book and twisting it into a science-fiction love story. I can not wait to read about it. What do you think?
A reminder to everyone that has a "save bag" with BLUE MOON COMICS (located at NOVATO). COME PICK IT UP! They are in the slowest months of the year and need you to come in, in a timely manner. If BLUE MOON is to survive the next 4 months until summer, this is one of the most important tasks YOU as customers have in our survival. THEY rely on YOU! Many of you take this for granted that your comics will still be here. WARNING!!! After ONE month of pulling if your bag is still here THEY will STOP PULLING and start SELLING the comics in that bag. THEY provide this as a service to YOU by pulling comics and saving them. THEY live up to our part of the contract so, please live up to yours. Believe me, they understand "busy lives" and "time got away from me" but, business is business. The lack of business we are experiencing has us dangerously close to locking our doors. Not to sound like a broken record but, several more months like January and it is likely to happen.
Our plan is to move Blue Moon Comics to San Rafael in the summer of 2012 to make comics more accessible to more people. If we fail before then there will be no comics shop at all in Marin. I for one do not like the sound of that!

Yesterday (January 11th, 2011) marked one year since I joined Comic Vine as user. Looking back on my first year here on CV, I was able to provide new characters, new volumes, new issues, new story-arc, edit information, and so much more for about half of the year until my edit privileges revoke because of adding info from another cite. But even though I cannot edit anything, I was nominated as an 'ambassador' (along with another CV User here) to my local comic book shop, BLUE MOON COMICS. I have used so much of my spare time on this website from college I need to keep in mind that my education is my primary concern at all times.
To everyone here on COMIC VINE, if YOU live in the BAY AREA, please pop over to BLUE MOON COMICS in NOVATO! Business has been kinda slow due to our country's economy, and so far they are trying to keep things going. PLEASE stop buy and buy some comics, trading cards, or anything you hold so dearest. As ambassador to BLUE MOON COMICS, I want to see that 12 years of business does not die on my watch. Do NOT let both ME or them down.
