@Igotsomethingtosay: I agree totally man. I did see that link someone else posted about mandatory secondary powers and I guess that's the only way to accept super speed. Personally I've already gone beyond the point of criticising the 'how' of Flash's powers, now I'm constantly wondering why doesn't he go at top speed the whole time.

I mean some one with Flash's powers should never ever be hit, (that may change with this re-imagining of him but I'm sure well see him take a punch from someone besides superman)

In fact I find superman more believable, he states numerous times that he pulls his punches and most of his weaknesses come from his personality, magic [ >:( ] and krytonite/lead which I find totally cool.

Last thing. I also hate superpowers that are aimed to be founded on science, mainly Spidermans Spidey sense (ive heard they're getting rid of it, hopefully) which was based on flies, spiders and any other insect with compound eyes ability to detect the smallest movements and evade destruction under human hand or newspaper. But then spiderman somehow exhibits this power without and sort of compound eye, essentially making it magic which pushes the believability of that character right out the window for me.

There I had my little Spiderman rant so I'll just go.

@blackkitty: Really? I'm really enjoying the unpredictable nature of this father son relationship at the moment.

I've always loved the more intense Batman stories and I don't think you could get a story with as much uncertainty and challenges for Batman to face. I mean there are to consequences that I see. a) Batman turns Damian around into an amazing but complex Robin or b) Daman goes bad and Batman potentially holds himself accountable.

Anyway I don't like light hearted Batman stories so I guess Batman & Robin isn't for everyone at the moment.

Having watched the documentary I can definitely say that these peace are not helping. The only ones who were doing good were the couple who handed out food and toiletry bags to the homeless at significant cost to themselves, financially.

I really hope they realise what they've put themselves into and hopefully choose another hobby, or fight crime from the legal side of the law.

@Jordanstine: OH MY GOD!

Dude you just blew my mind with Batman's super secret power! And it explains SO MUCH!

Batman's superpower (besides his intellect) is his ability to scare the crap outta anyone to the point that they lose their superpowers. Oh wow. Love it. =)

@speedstermike: YES! I'd love to see a Martian Manhunter version.

The first one was great, I'm even using it as a related text in english for a bit of variety =)

Just to put my opinion out there (even if it basically identical to the general consensus).

Bale played the best Bruce Wayne (visually) and played the best Batman (excluding his voice) in terms of attitude and the portrayal of the dichotomy that is 'The Batman'.

But Kevin Conroy is Batman. His voice and his take on Bruce as the nice, well spoken and empathetic billionaire is unsurpassed as is his Batman.

As many have said before Batman: TAS represented everything Batman was and as a result there was never a dull moment or a forgettable episode. This is illustrated best, I think, in the Bruce Wayne scenes which were some of my absolute favourites.

Furthermore I found Batman Beyond almost as amazing as TAS for the same reasons and it's captivating representation of the 'cyberpunk' future which gave off such a Bladerunner vibe. =)

But in the end I came for the characters but stayed for the stories and I still love revisiting old favourites every so often.

Thanks for an awesome article, it was really nice to see a bit of commentary on the characters we love in other mediums.

P.S Can I submit a request for a retrospective of Batman Beyond...even if it is only like 10 years old.
