honestly, I'm surprised this issue didn't surface sooner.
BUT, I suppose most artists goal is a beautiful cover with their own art, should we deny them their dream and ourselves from a great cover piece because of principal?
With modern technology and the use of the internet we should be able to know who makes and does what and what to expect soooo as long as they're not lying or trying to quote un-quote'pull the wool over my eyes' I'm relatively ok with it.
I've attended the last few years of the con, and last year as a volunteer.... and I definitely look forward to the con every year. I didn't buy my tickets early enough for this year so I am glad I was watching the sight frequently enough to sign up to volunteer again. San Diego is so fun that time of year, it's hard to imagine moving it any place else. They have such awesome public transportation and other local things to do if you get sick of trekking around the con, or have to bring people who aren't as interested in the overall festivities.
I personally don't have much of a problem with the crazy crowds most of the time because I'm used to living in the big city, but sometimes it's a little trying down there. Mostly when you can't stop at a booth because there's no room, kids knocking your stuff out of your hands and than you can't bend down to pick it up because hoards of people are stampeding through or waiting hours for a panel to find out nobody left the one before and you've wasted half your morning....... I think they can stay in San Diego easily with some more organization.
anyway, I'll continue to attend, just pretty please no Vegas!
