Hey All-
Just a note that I'll be heading out Saturday night to DC for the holidays. I'll be back on the 27th. So if you notice your subs taking a little longer to be approved imagine me drunk on egg-nog using my cape as a blanket near a nice fire.

Alright guys. I'm out to catch a plane. Hopefully G-Man will pop in to check the queue otherwise I'll make sure to check your subs tomorrow hopefully by noon EST. Have a happy holidays duders.
Maybe Capt. Cascader didn't get the classified memo but I'm on my way on a secret mission to the Windy City for a week. I may be able to access the site from the field but who knows when you're taking fire from the hostiles. I will try to report for duty if the situation arises.
To all, have a safe happy time celebrating whatever it is you celebrate...or don't celebrate.
Don't forget the contest!

"Out of curiosity, how long until someone gets the 'trusted stick'. Around 1,000 points? It's not bugging me (and I'm not asking), but I'm curious and I find myself avoiding small, nit-picky edits because they'll have to be manually reviewed."
Nitpicky is alright.
We'll roll out the ability for live edits in Jan. 1000 points sounds about right.
Also, we'll have a top tab called "Users" where you will be able to see the latest accepted submissions to the site and who made them. And a bunch of other user stats and lists.
Are you guys gonna' work out the whole Picture Points > Text Points thing beforehand?
Like, it's not a personal thing, but I'd be concerned about the site. Any old guy could come in, submit several hundred pictures, and then have free reign with live edits.
I'm new, so of course I'm not sure how much of an issue point-allocation is so far, but any system can be abused.
All 'wiki' based sites are ran off of the honor system to some extent, and if someone's dedicated to deface a page, they'll probably do it.
I haven't been following points though, so if there is a disconnect somewhere, I retract my previous comment.
Well the idea is that a vandal will be less likely to give it a shot if they have to write up a comprehensive bio themselves instead of just uploading a ton of pictures, which currently gives more points.

Bios will get way more points then images starting in Jan. Plus it'll be retroactive.
Ok guys, I'll be on a plane back to SF in about an hour. I'll work on the deletes/combines tonight. Once I get there we'll be back to our normal quick moderation schedule. Thanks for everyone's patience.
