@jmood88: It would obviously be an origin, and her origin is largely about her childhood if they're following the comics, so if not a prequel, then it would have a whole lot of flashbacks, but I think that's the format they're going with for Cap 2, with part of it in WW2 and part in the modern day.

If they really want to use the character, they're probably better off with an "Agents of SHIELD" movie that could expand on her, Hawkeye, Nick, Maria Hill, and possibly more Coulson.

A black Widow movie would have to be an origin/prequel, and I think at this point Marvel should just go forward at full speed rather than back.

@pspin: Luke Cage doesn't exactly scream "blockbuster." He's perfect for that project they were doing where they'd give newer directors a small budget to make movies about the more obscure Marvel characters though.

Now a big budget Black Panther movie on the other hand...

I know people want Pym, but I think Wright would be better using Eric O'Grady, considering the framework already established. You do Pym and you'll have to do Wasp, origins, etc. You do Eric, he's already established at SHIELD. Hell, he was probably the Galaga guy! Then it could just be him getting a hold of SHIELD tech and they're free to do whatever they want with the story, plus Wright's style lends itself better to humor. Pym could still be in it as well, as the scientist that creates the tech, and that leaves windows for him to later become Ant-Man or any of his other dozen alter-egos.

Either way though, I'm excited to see what he'll do with the project.

Avengers comes out in theaters. The same weekend, the Guardians of the Galaxy appear in The Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

I think we all know what this means...

ROCKET RACCOON (and Groot) TRILOGY!!!

Really not sure what I think. I found the first to be not in the spirit of Batman at all, while the second was amazing, but a total "lightning in a bottle" feel. Everything I've seen from this one is leaving me with an uneasy feeling that it'll come nowhere near to living up to the Dark Knight and will be the Spidey 3 of the franchise.

I absolutely loathed the first episode, but it's been getting better as it goes on. I see it as an extension of the Marvel Movie Universe rather than the comics, so I'm fine with the changes and tone.

I would absolutely love to see the 80s New Mutants done as an series, especially with some Brett Blevins character designs since his style could be called "anime-like" before it was even a term. You get action, adventure, school life, angst, romance, and all the good stuff that would make some great episodic entertainment.

He'll be a slovenly space bounty hunter played by Jack Black in a knee-slapping slapstick romp! Also, he'll have a sidekick that's a sentient fart voiced by Chris Tucker.

Box office GOLD!!!
