@waezi2: @moul: No, all that's going to do is further the trope of "all asians do kung fu" also Danny's origin is intrinsically tied to his ethnicity and taking that away not only destroys his original dynamic with Luke Cage but also completely changes his time at K'un L'un.
Exactly. There's nothing groundbreaking about an Asian Martial-Artist.
Personally, I still think Spider-Man should be Asian.
Yeah...the high-school nerd with the talent for physics should be Asian.
Man, this thread is like stereotype parade :P
Not before someone suggest that Batman should be black.
Batman should be Black.
So we can joke about him being; "the really dark knight"?
I know it's as much an origin of the Kingpin as it is to DD, but I just can't get behind his portrayal of the character as the Kingpin. What he did as an actor was awesome, but I don't see how that character would be capable of getting into the position of power he was in. I mean, you can possibly assume he was more of a menacing figurehead of their evil conglomeration, and his "assistant" was the real brains behind the operation, but then that just makes the character even sadder.
Other than that, I think the show is amazing and I absolutely love how Ben Urich and Stick are portrayed.
