So the context and the words printed in the comic mean nothing? It's was written by the author of the comic that Thanos wanted to test his weapon. It was written by the author that Thanos was bored of the fight. It was also written by the author that if Thor had kept going he would have become unstoppable. Not making anything up, that is exactly what happened, Thanos ran away from Thor and grabbed a weapon.  Did he want to test it? Sure, that doesn't change the fact that Thor was kicking his face in.  "

Star Wars has no beings on the cosmic level that I've ever heard of.  Darth Nihilus maybe, in a limited sense, and the outsiders who forged the Corellian system.  Even fully powered Luke and Dark Empire Palpatine aren't what I would call cosmic.
