When? It's one of its one of its most popular features. I does it on multiple counts in both TNG and Voyager (Voyager not so successful though). I also believe, if remember correctly that in OS, Kirk used the deflector to hop from one galaxy to the other. "

Hang on, we might not be talking about the same apparatus here. I'm talking about the deflector field.

Is this movie Megatron? Because if it is, then he could just scan the Enterprise and take it's shape and capabilities.
