@experio: i agree that Rodriguez should've been the best player. Messi hasn't impressed me this WC. But i feel the same about Neuer, he made a horrible foul against Argentina even though he got away with it. I think that award should've gone to Ochoa. But seeing as those two players are too low key and weren't in the final (and we're talking fifa here....) they picked those two.

@warlock360: both teams had pretty good chances so far. I just hope it doesn't go to penalties.

What a stupid foul by Silva...

Well, can you really blame them? It's a match they don't want to play. They're already exhausted having played the last two matches into overtime, 2 defenders injured, Brazil hasn't played into overtime and not exerted themselves last match and got an extra day of rest. And they also have a hostile crowd to face.

Brazil has a reason to play because of the huge defeat against Germany. And they want to redeem themselves especially in their own country (and to save Scolari's job).

Aww too bad we're out. The pressure was getting too much during the penalties. Too bad Vlaar missed because he played an amazing match. Though to be honest, it was a rather dull match, neither team really dared to play offensively.

I'm proud of my countries team though! Such a young inexperienced team getting so far while no one had any hope they'd get out of the group phase! I think Germany will win, but i'm hoping for Argentina :)

Could be penalties again, i hope not.

Yep, this kind of soccer doesn't work against Germany. And Germany is playing excellent (i was rooting for them this match, so yaaaay!!!)

@punyparker: ha! Expectations were incredibly low. Most of us didn't think we'd make it past the group stage, also because Robben wasn't that good last WC and we expected more of the same. So every victory is awesome for us, but we are hoping for the cup now of course :)

Heitinga and van der Wiel are indeed missed for the Dutch defense.

@punyparker: i am Dutch, hence i'm a little protective haha. Everyone is of their favorite team :p But you're making some really good points! I think it'll be a good match :)
