The Return of Gwen Stacy.

Do it.

After Sins Past wasn't retconned!? Gwen must never return until SP is retconned NEVER!

I thought that the retconning of Sins Past was implied with bringing back Gwen Stacy. I completely agree with both of you.

you can't deny that the reprint for the JUSTICE LEAGUE #12 cover by Jim Lee isn't really pretty.

That double negative there reads like you're saying that the cover isn't really pretty. It should say "you can't deny that the reprint for the JUSTICE LEAGUE #12 cover by Jim Lee is really pretty."

really dude? I think most of understood what she meant, that is just a douche thing to point out.

I apologize if it came off as douchey; that was not my intention. I, too, understood what it meant, but the original wording still confused me when I read it, so I figured I'd point it out. It's fixed now, though, so everything is hunky-dory.

Because you are a jerk, Hope Summers.

Everyone's a jerk in Avengers vs. X-Men.

I think Storm is the only character who has been written well throughout this entire event.

she wasn't written well.

I'd have to agree. The dissolution of the Black Panther/Storm marriage was one of the most stupid and badly-handled things that happened in the storyline. Both of them came out of that looking rather idiotic.

What's with the weird garter?

It's for her sword, I think. I'm not sure if it's usually there or if it appears magically, though.

I'm really amused by the fact that everybody is trying to make a big deal about Professor Xavier dying in Avengers vs. X-Men as if it didn't just happen a few years ago at the end of Messiah CompleX. And that time, he was brought back immediately (a fact which you can use to argue that he didn't actually die at the end of that storyline, but whatever. He got shot in the head and they had to reconstruct his brain. Not much difference at that point)

I guess the problem is more that that death (and the entire storyline, for that matter, but that's probably another issue entirely) just feels incredibly contrived, especially since this character didn't really do anything at all throughout the story except die.

@ahgunsillyo oh thank god, I was afraid another one of my favorite female characters got butchered

Yeah, that tends to happen, for some reason. A bit regrettable, but it seems rather inevitable at this point with characters from either publisher. Well, at least Rose got her eye back, I guess?

Thank you. In leaving, he is also preserving OUR sanity.

I don't know how much longer I could have stood seeing all the characters in his books having the same exact black borders around their eyes.

YOOOoooooOoooooo!!! I never noticed that before. Thanx!

Oh god, is that supposed to be Cheshire?

My dear Jade, what did he do to you?

Luckily, that is apparently a new character named Niko that Liefeld created for the new Grifter book. The solicitation for that issue actually does say that Cheshire is in it, but that doesn't seem to be the case in the final release, so maybe that's one of those "last-minute editorial changes" that Liefeld experienced. They likely originally intended for it to be Cheshire and eventually decided against it for some reason. Maybe they in charge didn't agree with how that character was being used in the storyline, or they wanted to use her elsewhere, or maybe it was something else entirely. Judging from your reaction, though, it sounds like her sudden and inexplicable exclusion from this book was for the better.
