So what if Spidey were a career criminal?

Wolverine a heartless assassin for hire?

Iron-Man a money and power hungry drunken loose cannon?

Daredevil actually wasn't possessed by a demon in Shadowland and really did go nuts?

Batman driven to crime ?

What would cause them to be a villain?

Would they be considered a threat?

It's the only problem I have with SSM to be honest..

People not recognizing that the personality change coincides with the death of Doc Ock and with the making a high-tech costume. Maybe they think he's feeling bad about his death?

I don't know..

@ThanoStomp: If I remember correctly, that's not Richard Rider. It's Nova Prime, yeah, but not Richie.

Maybe the Phoenix served to further exacerbate the dark side in everyone?

@DrLove: To be fair, at least they're getting revived and have their own movie.

Think about it, the Avengers reaaallyy got popular around the time Bendis got his hands on it.

And I'm sure the reason'll be explained in his actual series.

He's got some good runs and has the potential to really nail the atmosphere.

Loeb... I'm just waiting and hoping.

The story was decent but this..

This is not only rubbing salt in the wound, but is outright atrocious.

I'm partial to Ramos' art but this.... no.

@Strider92: Good list man. How about DC characters? Definitely not Batman in my opinion. Guy broke down after two deaths he couldn't possibly control. Most of the death's in Pete's life were his fault. So multiple deaths which were his fault would make the Bat go bat@#$% bonkers.

So in Spider-Man #700 (spoilers), Petey transmitted his memories into Ock's brain right? Doc Ock could barely take the tragedy that is Peter Parker's life. He flat out stated that what he did, the things he did, were impossible. So, what characters do you think can live through Peter's life and get through mentally unscathed? There's a few rules though and here's something to illustrate my point.

For example, Daredevil. Matt Murdock goes on to live Parker's life. He lives through every triumph and tragedy but with the personality of Matt Murdock. That's the only thing that changes. The person under the mask and not any thing else.

The only people I can think of are Wolverine and Daredevil to be honest. Matt, as shown by the Bendis and Brubaker run, can reaaaaaalllyyy take the emotion and psychological stuff. Maybe Flash-Venom.

Who do you think can?
