Adriana was tired. It had been a long day with all the fighting. It was odd that the one thing she wanted to do was dance, not sleep. Merrick looked worried. He almost always was worried about something, but this was justified. Why would Thane jump out at the right time? Was he involved with the hunters?
Adriana laughed at Valadours proposition. It was stereotypical to have their steaks raw, but also very true. He was a kind man, for a vampire. He had lead them out of the combat zone and was now offering them hospitality. She didn’t know if she could trust him fully, and wondered if Merrick was thinking the same thing. She ran her fingers through her long black hair, as a sign that she knew her brother would recognize as her being nervous. She was also hungry, she hadn’t eaten since the battle, her stomach rumbled.
She was slightly embarrassed by it, but knew it wouldn’t matter
“We accept your kindness Valadour. You are a noble man.” She laughed a bit, “and yes we would like our steaks rare. But, of you don’t mind, I will be downstairs in the club, it’s not very often that Lycans of the Medovi clan are able to dance like this. Merrick, it would be nice to have a dance partner”
She grinned to her brother and walked down the stairs, into the blaring music
