I heard he was in hospital a few weeks ago due to heart troubles too...damn, this sucks. A fantastic actor (not exagerrating at all, he dominates whenever he's onscreen, that's how much screen presence he had) who passed away way too early. RIP and condolences to his family.

@MadeinBangladesh:I read one or two others this month but I wasn't fond of them, didn't feel I should put them on my list (felt the same way about some DC stuff) Yeah, Space Punisher is pretty stupid, but in a self-aware sorta way lol. It's as hilarious as it is ridiculous imo

People know he was only doing the covers and co-plotting Hawkman and Grifter, right? If you didn't like them before, I don't see how you would like them now unless whoever is brought on to replace him implements a big change of direction...

Anyway, something interesting on his twitter:

I was never a big fan of Lobo to begin with so what was going on with him didn't bother me too much. How do Lobo fans feel about this?

He's pretty obviously going to undergo character development that'll end up with him changing his ways. Hell, it's already happening, just slowly. His "past" honestly isn't all that much more tragic than it was before, was it? I mean, they've gotta address it here because this is his origin story, I doubt it'll be something that will be mentioned often.

I think the biggest issue is that this could very easily be a full title on it's own. Being restricted to a couple pages at the back of Justice League means it's moving ahead too slowly.

Wait, didn't the entire JLU bar Superman and Batman die before the events of Batman Beyond? I remember hearing that somewhere.

It seems like it's what the New 52 was supposed to be, maybe. I've read a lot of interviews where creators at DC said much of their title was written "back when it was a relaunch and not a reboot". A relaunch as in a big creative shake-up and for many characters a change of direction, but keeping the old stories canon.

I thought the main reason people dislike him was his art? It'd have very little to do with a live-action adaptation, surely?

@Lvenger: I assume you're talking about A-Levels then. I did History as well lol. Again, congrats. Dunno if you're planning on continuing education or not, but at the very least the most boring part of it is behind you now :P
