''I've seen it first! It's mine!'' The bigger man pushed the other one. ''I've seen it too.'' Adhene sighed, bored of the bickering of her two clansmen. They were arguing over who would take the shot for the deer before them. ''Aye, you did. But I did first!'' Adhene readied her bow. ''Who says you did first?'' Deer came in sight. ''I did. Yer gonna scare it off.'' Deer raised it's head cautiously. ''No, I am not!'' Adhene held her breath. ''Yes, you wi...'' Adhene's arrow pierced the deer right through it's head and the two men stopped talking as the deer fell on the ground. ''I care not of your pissing contest go get my deer. We're going back.'' Adhene said laughing.
''you boys decided who got the bigger c*ck, yet?'' Adhene broke the silence as they neared the camp. The two men were still upset over losing the hunt. ''He'd seen it first...'' said one of them and the other one nodded. ''Aye and I shot it first.'' She laughed enjoying the situation. In her days home her teachers were saying she was wild like an animal and could never be a lady. She would then get angry and spit their faces. Now, beyond the wall where she fit right in. She started to think that they were right. She was never a lady. She was a wildling born in the wrong side of the wall. In her first days here, they were laughing at her, calling her names, pushing around. She worked hard to gain their respect over the years and now she was laughing at their faces and they were having hard time to even say a word.
''Adhene!'' Adhene looked at balgair as he came running to them. ''Daciana wants to see you. She is at her tent waiting for you with the head of the crows.'' Adhene looked at him raising an eyebrow. ''What? Crows are here?'' Her gaze slid to their camp. ''They say they came to talk but their crows who believes the shit they say!'' Balgair seemed angry and scared at the same time. ''You give these men a hand. I'll go check Daciana.'' Before balgair could even move his lips Adhene left them behind.
Head of the crows with Daciana? What's Kellan up to? She could hear her heartbeat fastened as she ran to the camp. Why would he take crows to their camp? She knew she had missed her brother. she thought she had to be happy to be able to see her but this was her home now. The idea of a bunch of crows tearing her home wasn't leaving her to feel happy. What was the catch? Kellan knew the true enemy wasn't the free folk or wildlings as the southerners called them but the crows did not. She heard the stories of the camps that crows tore up. She had even seen a group of rangers having some fun with wildling girls and then killing them to keep their 'oaths'. She tilted her head. Kellan knew better. Kellan was better. He had to have a good reason.
Her red hair fluttering in the cold wind like a flame that lit on ice she entered the camp. The eyes of every crow turned to her. And she had a brief stop. A pity, she felt to their miserable look. A bunch of crows too far in the north, shivering like little lads. The clansmen were ready for an attack and maybe even too ready. She wouldn't know who would attack first if they weren't warned. She took a deep breath as she came to Dacianas hut. ''A crow shouldn't fly this far up north.'' Adhene entered the hut. As she saw her brother she smiled like little child. A smile that was lost after she left everything behind. No, even before that. A smile lost in time. Her concerns left her head in the same instance. 'Kellan won't heart us. He is not a crow. He is my brother.' she thought after looking at him for a good long second. Leaving her smile behind she turned to Daciana even though it was hard for her to look away from her brother. ''You wanted to see me, Daci?''
