Unexpected Marvel characters who could Destroy the World if mind controlled

These characters, while regarded as powerful (and sometimes not so much), just don't quite seem to get quite as much powerhouse cred as they deserve.  If they should come under mind control, these characters could well be used to easily destroy continents.  I imagine a scenario where B-list Marvel villain The Controller gradually builds up an empire of enslaved superheroes with his control discs and actually manages to pose a significant threat to the world at large.  NOTE: Some of these characters are or may be dead.  But hey, this is comics, so people can either be brought back OR the story can just be set at a specific point in the past when the required character was still among the living.

Also... let's throw just a few villains into the mix so we can make them do some things they'd much rather not do.

List items

  • Her goddess moniker is still just about right. She is constantly one Control-disc away from being able to cause another Hurricane Katrina. I can think of few greater global hostage crises to use for bargaining chips.

  • Already controlled once by Doctor Doom; there is seemingly no limit to the murderous potential of the objects Sue could generate; and people wouldn't even be able to see it coming!

  • Taking mind control of another person with mind control capabilities may seem entirely redundant, but with Karma's abilities to control multiple people at once, taking her over could be a quick and easy boost to an archvillain's power base that would greatly accelerate their world domination plans.

  • Drowning/suffocating is one of the most horrible ways you can die; or at least Wolverine seems to think so, as this could actually kill him. Imagine just standing there minding your own business when the very ground beneath your feet swallows you up. One control-disc away.

  • Maybe a bit of a stretch, but depending on how much further his mental redirection powers get developed, that his "The Matrix" style speed could easily get him access to nuclear launch codes/buttons.

  • It matters not how well fortified your base is; if there's a wall there that connects in any way to the outside, Doorman sets you one control disc away from a full fledged ambush, no fancy teleportation needed.

  • Reviled though the storyline might be, "Batman: The Dark Knight Strikes Again" thoroughly pointed out just how dangerous an out of control Plastic Man would be. A controlled Impossible Man (if planting a control disc to him and getting it to stick is possible) would be like that times ten.

  • Daimon Hellstrom is the son of Satan. If he wanted to, he could probably unleash the hordes of hell upon the earth. He doesn't want to do that. What he wants doesn't matter to me.

  • The capabilities of The Staff of One are pretty much limitless; limited only by only being able to do each spell once and by the creativity of whoever holds it. I think I could give Nico some more ideas.

  • Remember when Captain America had Daisy deliver a mini-quake directly into Magneto's head to knock him out? I quite liked that bit.

  • Mystique's shape changing powers and conniving mind can and repeatedly gained her access to just about any secured access facility to attain any information or gadgets you might require. Unfortunately, when things get just a bit too shady even for her, she's been known to run off to the X-Men and let them know something's up. A control disc will nullify that annoying last part.

  • I really don't see why his powers couldn't help him make a doomsday device. If nothing else, I'll happily take a rebuilt "neutralizer", or perhaps a souped up "Melter" ray to take care of robotic adversaries such as Aaron Stack and The Vision who I can't control.

  • Ghost's ability to phase inside of and take over another's armor would greatly accelerate my taking control of or, barring that, destroying armored foes.

  • Endlessly reusable foot soldier.

  • Nearly indestructible foot soldier / distraction.

  • Nearly indestructible foot soldier / distraction.

  • Instant foot soldier army; though tests would be required to see if duplicates would be generated with control discs intact. If not, this is where Karma will come in handy for controlling this militia.

  • A speedster can accomplish a multitude of insidious tasks for you at lightning speed. Dispersing timed explosives, jabbing a whole roomful of people with poisonous needles; what have you. If they can hold their own against opponents with super strength and invulnerability; so much the better. Also, I wouldn't mind probing that brain for some secrets from the Celestials that could be put to good use.

  • By this point in time, the world at large just expects you to hijack Steve Rogers for your nefarious schemes to use as you symbol to gain trust. Here's to going the route less traveled and making inroads across the pond.

  • I'm sure Dr. Strange's trusted manservant has easy access to a multitude of disastrously dangerous scrolls and mystical baubles.

  • On the extremely off chance that the opportunity to take control of this crafty time traveler should arise, TAKE IT. Having an agent with the full resources of Landau, Luckman and Lake at their disposal who can plant control discs on those I wish to have serve me before they're aware of my plot grant me the world in no time at all.

  • Likely just as difficult to capture and not quite as useful due to the Time Variance Authority's strict rules and regulations, this man should still instantly be taken should the opportunity ever arise as this tactic is too good to ignore.

  • An excellent brawler and heavy hitter foot soldier, and also, as a last resort, very potent for use in a suicide attack that, when combined with electricity, say from The Living Laser / Living Lightning or somebody like that, could kill a whole room of people nice and quick.

  • Sersi's transmutation abilities could prove infinitely useful. She might even be able to create fresh control discs out of seeming thin air and on the fly. Plus, she has access to fellow Avengers and fellow Eternals both for adding to my forces.

  • The superhero community at large trusts Doc Samson. Doc Samson can get close enough to slap control discs onto Hulk, She-Hulk, The Thunderbolts and more. With that objective completed, I've got a very heavy hitting foot soldier.

  • Contingency plan; stave off unanticipated superpowered foes.

  • Contingency plan; stave off unanticipated superpowered foes

  • Contingency plan; stave off unanticipated combat-oriented foes

  • Contingency plan; stave off unanticipated mutant foes. Plus, though the odds of pulling this off are quite slim, it's worth attempting... he might be able to get close enough to put a disc on his best friend FRANKLIN RICHARDS.

  • Powerful foot soldier and creator of foreign inroads.

  • See entry: Hydro Man.

  • See entry: Storm. More limited, but still quite able for creating a natural disaster.

  • Well... because every big crossover mega event seems to contain a massive teleportation Cloak maneuver.

  • Even under the influence of my control discs, that boy's brain and its knack for spotting the precise way to go about pretty much any tactical maneuver will be invaluable.

  • Yeah, so that instant-death touch he's supposedly capable of but is much too moral to use? A control disc removes that inhibition. Pair him up with a personal teleporter for some added fun.

  • Lord only knows why, but for whatever reason, this frisky little critter is nigh-unbeatable. I don't know how to possibly turn her powers to my strategic advantage, but I'm all about controlling her just to take her off the playing field.

  • Group transport and further mini natural disaster mayhem? Double whammy!

  • A bit redundant after recruiting Cloak, but the more group transporters who can deliver squads of mind controlled flunkies to different strategic points at once, the better.

  • Though he's still a magical novice, his father possessed the raw power to cause worldwide chaos, when he lost control of himself just before his death. I'm sure that, with a few other mystics on board and a disc removing Druid's inhibitions I could create a similar effect.

  • Adding to my reserve of mystics, plus she could grant useful access to her home dimension...

  • The potential here hardly needs to be elaborated upon...

  • While he's already willing and able to use his powers to force whole crowds of people into committing murderous acts, he ultimately just serves his own selfish ends and, even more often, merely plays with people for his own amusement. Bent to MY goals, I think I can turn his massive crowd controlling abilities towards a far more proactive goal.

  • Consider the mind boggling size of population of dead super beings out there. Now consider a living one with the means to replicate their abilities if he touches a piece of their remains. I will gladly have this man in my army, though I'm unclear on if my control discs will continue to function after he changes into one of his reserve of dead bodies as he does seem to actually CHANGE INTO them rather than just replicating them. Worth further study.

  • She's a launchpad for those at my command who can't fly, she's strategic defense, and, much like the Invisible Woman, she can seemingly create solid constructs in near any shape she can imagine.

  • Though no longer the combatant he once was, he's MORE useful to me now in his current capacity as the warden of The Raft facility. The warden can easily gain access to, plant a control disc on, then release any villain in captivity I desire.

  • More time travel tactics and another who can potentially get one of my discs onto the incomparably powerful Franklin Richards!

  • I'm hard pressed to devise a more efficient person for spreading control discs.

  • A one-time use to be sure, as I'm certain that when he uses his powers he'll destroy my control disc in addition to all that surrounds him... but WHAT a one-time use. And with the help of some of my minions who ALSO possess mind control capabilities, I just might be able to bring him back for an encore once he puts himself back together.

  • He may not be fully trained, but I will gladly have all the indestructible footsoldiers that I can get.

  • Her willpower is quite strong as she managed to outwit me once before by channeling X-ray radiation that enabled her fellow Avengers to see my control disc upon her and remove it while she was turned against them... but in the midst of a full fledged superhero invasion, that tactic will hardly matter so long as she's not actually capable of FIGHTING me. With her under my thumb, even if fighting my control, she's a second Radioactive Man.
