It never seemed like Iron Man sequels were anywhere near as controversial as is BvS for example on the Vine and yet BvS is fresh while IM 2/3 rotten? Damn, I would never guess.

Superman and Manhattan will meet, and blah blah blah Superman will give him a hope speech blah blah blah Manhattan will be all like "it doesn't matter" blah blah blah more hope speech and then blah blah blah Manhattan realizes he was wrong blah. If this thing plays out the way I think it will (as some lazy attempt at meta commentary that blames the Watchmen for Dark Stories). this entire thing will be the equivalent of a roll of toilet paper.

Hahaha this.

I find it hilarious that all of a sudden PC fanboys so comfortably jumped on Johns' newfound "hope and legacy" bandwagon when this guy is responsible for so much grey area and gore in DC comics and borderline legacy twisting. Which isn't even bad, there's nothing to apologize about, but still the whole thing is nothing short of hilarious. But hey it's all Watchmen and Moore, they are to blame, Johns is one of the good guys, remember kids.

There's a Comedian's quote that fits this almost perfectly lolz

@adamtrmm: I know, right? Comic Vine used to post a lot more news articles. And what happened to the other features? "Best Battles in Comics This Week"? "Best Stuff in Comics"? Character of the month?! I mostly come to CV for the forums, but I can't be the only one who enjoyed those editorials. I used to get my comic news here, now not so much.

Mat is literally the only staffer left. He probably can't do all that. I also miss "Awesome Art Picks"

There were lots of fun weekly updates, shame they aren't around anymore/can't get new ones...

The end would be something to celebrate if they weren't just getting a new book.

This...

I'll miss this book. It had its downs but it had some nice things going on and I really love this whole morally ambiguous X-lineup. It needed so much more time, with all potential candidates and doublecrossing this book totally could've used additional 30 issues or something. I liked Bunn's work on Magneto here much better than on his solo as well.

That said, Psylocke's motivation looks extremely hamfisted right here. Mags was controlled by Emma, so it only works if he didn't tell anyone? Lolz

@darthkostis:

Well, from what I remember of Hickman's Shield, he was more of a power hungry Machiavellian cult leader rather than explorer and performer himself, correct me if I'm wrong. Was this even a thing for him there?

I'm talking about Hick-ton of course.

Because the X-Men thought it would be a good idea to welcome the PF inside despite knowing how dangerous it was and ignoring every single advice or council that didn't come from their own ranks.

And no, the Phoenix Five acted extremely from the word go when they technically put every single government out of commission because the P5 had concluded mankind wasn't mature enough to govern itself.

One time? Not really, since Dark Phoenix showing up is an eventuality when the PF is involved, the X-Men were warned it would happen, they bluntly ignored it, yet lo and behold the whole thing ended with everyone punching the Dark Phoenix.

Ah... AvX all over again...

Phoenix didn't ask Xmen, or Avengers permission to go anywhere. It's a Force well beyond either in a cosmic food chain, so blaming X-men for welcoming it, should also be instantly parallel with the danger of Phoenix arriving and not finding its host (because that would totally be safe! Butthurt Cosmic Chicken! Thanks Avengers). Wolverine fed Rogers with false data as he himself knew Rachel did manage to sport the force fo years. The idiot himself was saved by resurrected as Phoenix Jean during Morrison. Let's also not forget Cable. And let's also not forget Hope was born despite Chaos Wave against every possible post-HoM scenario... manifesting Phoenix. Let's not pretend like X-men had no good reason to believe what Phoenix was after is actually what it made possible to happen (Hope - the first mutant post-Mday)

Corrupt governments demilitarized is a bad thing? If only it was truly possible, I wonder how many people would really support that.

Wasn't true with Rachel, wasn't even true with Jean, only with her clone :p Eventually it was true for Cyclops, but who forced that power on him exactly? Oh yeah, a beyond punishment and criticism Avenger...

Iron Man was responsible for creating Phoenix Five. Right or wrong?

Phoenix Five were managing pretty well until being provoked by Avengers multiple times. Right or wrong?

(less subjective formulation: P5 were creating worldwide utopia just Avengers were too butthurt for that to go on as they were out of the equation, which was beyond their collective egos to get over (can back this up with on panel evidence))

In the end, Phoenix was there to restore mutantkind? Right or wrong?

Cyclops was right. Right or wrong? :p (I had to)

-----------------------------------------------

Whatever that was the writers tried to do with AvX, I guess the X-office wasn't completely impotent and they did manage to somehow save their grace as it is far from one sided argument. That's why Rogers was ridiculed by so many people in the end, some say he as character never recovered.

Hail Hydra!

When initially I saw the writer bringing in Zod, and then with the announced JL vs. SS, I thought "now it makes sense", with ex Suiciders consistent of Black Manta, Cheetah, Reverse Flash, Deathstroke, Killer Shark and couple of others adding to this Zod, they may actually have a pretty legit League-buster squad right here.

I thought wrong I guess.
