"Time to shine"? She was made to look terrible in IC, which she spent either crying, held captive needing rescue, or not even trying to escape the Martian Manhunter's grasp to try and save her cousin. It was one of her worst showings ever, courtesy of Johns, who went on to make her look bad in JSA itself, with that horrible Thy Kingdom arc in which she again mostly cried, killed a version of the Joker, and had an insane and violent version of herself torturing her, again needing rescue.

She really hasn't had a "time to shine" ever; she's never saved the day once AFAIK. That time to shine is still in the future.

@mraugen: Yeah, she'll probably be back sometime late next year in some fashion with the JSA at the very least, so there's that. Beats nothing at all.

@mraugen: Now it's time for her to make a meaningful return...

It's very PG that instead of a grand return, with a series or even crossover devoted to it, as other characters often get, she gets a couple of panels with no dialogue or explanation. Which says to me while she'll be back, it won't be in any grand or even large role, more as a background character probably in JSA.

Notice the mix; it's the modern Earth Two JSA, not the expanded version of the pre Flashpoint DCU. IF that's an accurate depiction of the PG we're getting back, from the text it appears that Earth Two and the JSA with Power Girl and Huntress are indeed back, but it says nothing of anything that happened after. It also doesn't say anything about when Power Girl will return in earnest, or how. But for now I suppose that the important part is that she's back! Sort of.

Power Girl returns? I guess so...I hope so...

From what I understand, Manhattan simply reverses what he did in the first place that zeroed PG and the JSA out of history, and PG...the pre-Flashpoint one, seems to be well and truly back. Sort of fitting perhaps that just as she was sort of suddenly not there anymore in DC comics, now she's just sort of back, again with not much of an explanation.

Whatever. Hopefully, they can revive her solo that was cancelled by Flashpoint in the first place. And bring back JSA.

So I suppose in theory, Power Girl is back. But which one, and under what circumstances, I don't know.

The final issue of Doomsday Clock is out evidently, and in it Manhattan restores the multiverse, including evidently Power Girl. Which version, I don't know, and I only have this second hand.

Heh, so they DO get Power Girl. Or at least how to play her in a short bit that emphasizes comedy. Now if they'd just realize she can do the Blue Beetle Booster Gold sort of comedy, and drama too, and put her in some shows! That might jump start her back into the comics. Hey, WB, Stargirl might be a good jumping off point in TV! Or....switch that planned Supergirl movie which doesn't need to happen quite frankly as we already have the TV series...to a PG movie! Or even Legends....that would be a GREAT fit for PG, much like JLE was.

Well, if you ever wanted to see Power Girl in a Dark Multiverse thing, I guess now's your chance.
