Right, so, up on that site above, you can go there, enter a random username, and enter. Then, you just click play and answer the questions to the best of your ability. What is totally mindblowing about this, for me at least, is that he got them all right.
Characters I guessed include:
Samus Aran, Master Chief, Bill Rizer (from Contra), Casshern, Banjo (Banjo Kazooie), Black Smoke(!!) (from Lost), and James Rollins ( farily obscure writer).
To be honest, he actually got a few of those wrong, but that's because I answered the questions wrong. The only one he got wrong was Azazel from Supernatural....instead, he guessed Castiel, which is pretty darn close. My bro tried out characters that included Taki (from Soul Calibur), Barack Obama, Rorschach, Dr. Manhattan, the rest of the Watchmen cast, and a whole slew of Nintendo characters, and he got them all.
It's pretty fun! It's kind of addicting.
(I hope this doesn't count as spam, I honestly thought it was interesting and cool)
Finally, it's Christmas break. YAAAAY!!!
I've been feeling pretty down lately, but just the thought of not having to deal with the usual school crap for two weeks has rejuvenated me. I feel like I have all the time in the world. HUZZAH! As an added bonus, I have very little homework compared to other years. ANOTHER HUZZAH!
And, it actually snowed! THIRD HUZZAH! Maybe I'll get lucky and we'll actually have some snow for Christmas Eve and Day. That would be wonderful :)
This blog might have some cursing in it. I haven't planned ahead that far.
I just found out two hours ago that my grandfather died yesterday.
I'm pretty messed up right now. I don't really know what to think.
I feel pretty dumb putting this up on comicvine, but I don't really care since I just need to write.
God damn, I never spent all that much time with the man. I feel so crappy as a result of it.
Hell I don't even have much in the way of memories with him. I just remember him giving me my N64 when I was a kid. He used to pop out his fake teeth for me to make me laugh.
He had cancer. He was a stubborn old guy. He fought it out hard and long, but eventually he just couldn't do it anymore I guess.
He passed away yesterday sometime at 3 PM.
I'll never forget him. Even though I didn't know him too well, I've heard enough in the way of stories from my mom and dad.
He seemed to have made some peace with the world. He knew it was coming. I guess I just never really grasped to fact that it was going to happen.
The doctors said he only had a few months. He showed them though, he went for almost two years.
I don't really openly embrace a religion so I don't have much in the ways of afterlife knowledge. I just hope he's in a better place now. The monster can't get to him now.
It was in an issue of Hunter-Killer-I can't remember which, but this guy had the passive ability (IE: He couldn't turn it off or on, it was always there) to make people commit suicide around him.
Not only would everyone you love die.....it'd be like living in that horrible, horrible movie "The Happening".
So, I got back from seeing the new Bond movie a couple of minutes ago. I'm a huge Bond fan (I own every movie except Never Say Never, the 2006 Casino Royale, and the unofficial Bond stuff), and I've been hyped for this movie for a LONG TIME. So, I approached it with high expectations.
And it was awesome!
Just as good as I hoped it would be-I admit, after looking at Rotten Tomatoes ranking of it and a lot of (negative) reviews, my hype was dulled, but that only made the experience even more sweet. Daniel Craig was incredibly badass in this one, even moreso than in CR, and the new Bond girl is one of the best-if not the best-in the entire franchise. There was a ridiculous amount of action, and all of it was good. My only complaint was that, at times, the story was somewhat tough to follow, but if you think about it for a sec it becomes clear (unlike Casino Royale, which had me confused for a while after I saw it. That was still a great movie, though). Well, okay, one more: during the opening scene, the camera jumped around like nobody's business, but that's about it.
I'm so happy with the direction that their taking the franchise-the campy movies of the Bond franchise were easily the worst. In this, Bond and the world is much more real-life and gritty, and I can't complain about that. The inspirations from the Bourne series is clear, and it's obvious that they borrowed some of the style from those. Except, they left behind pretty much all of the bad stuff that entails (IE: Horrific shaky-cam during actions scenes).
It is, in my opinion, one of the best Bond movies thus far (along with Casino Royale). If I was scoring it, it'd be 4 and a half stars out of 5. Great stuff.
For those of you that have seen it.....what is your opinion?
