Hi all!

So, I'm almost finished on the book I'm currently reading and as I always like to have a couple lined up [I read a bunch on the train/tube into work] I'm looking for more books to buy. I've read a number of books in the past looking at both the art of comics [Kirby - King of Comics] and the more sociological aspects of characters throughout the years [The Supergirls and Superheroes!] so I was wondering if any of you good people had any recommendations on books to check out on Amazon.

In your collective debts, as always.

I think it looks amazing, webshooters!

Delighted about the title too. It's simple and obvious - a perfect choice.

I think it looks great. Combines all the facets of Peter you could hope to see in one photo - he's a gangly, skinny kid, beaten up and dejected and the costume looks great.

A great first impression I'd say!

Was reading about this earlier today. Pretty excited to have a Con in my city! I'll be there for sure.

Spidey
Daredevil
Iron Fist

Pretty close call between them, but they're all awesome so it's OK.

It's definitely going to be a hard act to follow Simmons, he was absolutely spot on in my view.

Yes indeed, especially Brubaker's run.

So I am planning on jumping in on Amazing Spider-Man when Big Time starts but as I've been out of 616 Spidey titles for quite a bit I was wondering if I should go back and read from Brand New Day? Is it worth me doing that, so I get all that stuff and the Gauntlet storylines?

Cheeeeeers.

I thought this was a pretty great opening issue for the new arc. It sets things up nicely with the main characters - Kick-Ass himself, Mindy and the little cameo from Red Mist - and the last couple pages give us an idea of what's to come.

As mentioned, the art looks awesome. I'm not a huge JR JR fan, but I'm by no means a hater, but it certainly seems to pop more than the art he did on his own.

Wow, he comes over so awesome in that interview. It's always nice to hear someone talk to enthusiastically about what they're doing and do so in a way that draws you in.

I've been picking up American Vampire but haven't read the last two or three issues, this certainly makes me want to do that now!
