The Phoenix Force never had anything to do with Galactus's creation. All abstracts were created by the original Big Bang, which is not the Phoenix Force. It's even stated that Phoenix was born from the Big Bang. Funny that you post that scan with Reed Richards, b/c Reed actually saw the Marvel Universe get remade with the power of the Big Bang, which came from the Alien Entity, not Phoenix.
Phoenix is nowhere close to the elite in Marvel and lots and lots of characters can beat her. A few members of Ultraforce and X-Men already beat up and BFR'd the force itself for crying out loud.
The team does not win at all, in fact. That was of a Dr Doom from a non-existent future which Beyonder himself coerced. Maybe you are unaware of this, but it was the Beyonder who set himself up in that situation. It was Jim Shooter using PIS in order to make the arc more interesting.
I don't like any of them. Their faces are all rather odd looking and they don't have much going on upstairs either. Their choices in men are also very questionable.
The Source being an aspect of the Presence doesn't mean he would win. The abstracts are all aspects of the Infinity Being but there are different scales of power.
