@_whisper_: His arms remained folded behind his back while facing into the illuminated vortex of the inter-dimensional gateway known as the Door. Kyra's slight apprehension had not gone unnoticed but the Arashikage general had selected her for a reason. Her peerless combat instincts were a reveal for even the greatest of Arashikage and she would prove herself a valuable asset in a mission of such a high caliber. "First we must inspect this, Museum. It is the only place on Earth with a Door of its own. We will study the Knightfall's methodology, his tactics, his family, and then, then we shall track down the being responsible for his death."

Kyra forewent the ceremonial headdress for the more rudimentary garb she had been wearing previously. As they stepped out of the Door in the museum, an alarm sounded. Kyra had led the party, followed after by the Hounds and Asaad. Immediately guards were upon them. It was a matter of seconds before Kyra had subdued them with non-lethal force, knowing that the Hounds would not have been so kind. Death in war or combat was honorable, death by a foe who took you by surprise and vastly overpowered you was not commendable for either party.

"Contact established." She held up her hand, indicating that it was safe to come forward. As the group processed out of the museum after having made sure that security was not an issue. It was now up to the Hounds to psionically track.

@the_last_arashikage: A mere headtilt conveyed her quiet disapproval as she turned from the balcony and went to gather a select few of the Hounds. The Earth had its own super population, but they would not stand against the unabated cruelty and sadism of some of the Hounds. It was a fate she wouldn't be party to unleashing upon Hell itself.

Ten minutes later Kyra arrived at the Door, three of the five hounds in two. Absent were the more sadistic and uncontrollable of the bunch, Tempo and Octavius. "What's our mission, Liege?"

@_whisper_:

Flanked on opposite sides by his own personal elite, their red sashes tightly wrapped around their waists as a visual authentication of rank, Asaad Khan burst into the room causing a slight gust of wind to agitate the see through balcony curtains. Regally postured with his shoulder cape folded once around his arm as it was maintained in a bent position just under his chest. Man of little tolerance and zero apathy his convictions and authoritative presence profoundly resonated with each cultured step. "Kyra, an Arashikage, has fallen."

Out of natural instinct she immediately sized up his personal guard and their own specific capabilities. Many she was already well ecquainted with and she knew full well that should anything ever go terribly south for her, she wouldn't be able to take their full breadth without letting loose the power she kept deep inside herself for fear of betraying her secret Noble heritage.

Stiffening her spine, she stood straight up, holding her hands behind her back in a posture of attention and respect. Inclining her head slightly towards Asaad, she let no emotion flicker in her eye, a distinct sign of weakness among these kin. "How?"

@the_last_arashikage

Throughout the past seven years, Kyra had risen swiftly through the ranks of the guards, up to one of the select few chosen to serve around Asaad himself. Murmurs of civil unrest and the extreme lengths those in power across the planet had been going to had reached the palace atop it's oceanside clifftop on the edge of the city.

The smell would have reminded her of home on Isladora if it hadn't been polluted with the stench of despair and exhaust. Clad in militaristically styled armor, a chest plate that covered the upper half of her abdomen and pants with scaling that hit her just below the hipbone, she was among the more classically dressed of the palace guard, although hers was one of the only pieces with its own special touches.

Stepping onto one of the personal balconies, the sun reflected against her hair, highlighting strands of pure gold mixed in with the rust red. Clasping her hands together, she leaned over the wide railing of the balcony. The simmering unrest unsettled her. Her entire goal in joining the Imperial Guard had been to observe the palace life from the inside, to ensure that the House of Khan truly had the best interests in heart.
