@cellphonegirl: Haha, yeah as soon as I decided Abdullah would be having pizza I immediately saw the opportunity to bring up that whole thing again, figured you and WK would catch it xD it was also a fun way to say goodbye to the old Eclipse, since hatred of Papa Johns was one of his little quirks, one that Esther clearly doesn't share. So now I get to start fresh with a totally new character and totally new quirks.

Yup, they are kinda similar, yet also different. I feel like CPG is far more fashion conscious (or at least enjoys shopping), while this girl just wears what's comfy; and while they both like technology, Blair is all about the latest phones, whereas Esther is still playing an old game from the Nintendo Gamecube era. Might even have her use a totally old-school Nokia just to bug you, haha :) Still, should make their interactions even more fun, since Blair will see a little of her younger self in Essie. And thanks, while Jason has been long dead, I feel like I've been clinging onto his ghost for way too long. So this was a great way to finally let go and give him a good send-off. Eclipse is dead, long live Eclipse!

Just don't do too many, lol, my general rule for blog posts is that they are only necessary if they are: a) Introducing a new character, like this one, b) Detailing a big change in your character's life that doesn't really need to involve other writers, or c) If you feel like writing a series of solo stories, like what I did with FuzionGuy.

@andy_steven_summers: That is totally awesome. Like it starts off so innocently, you took your name and then the name of someone who is near and dear to you. Then slap the surname Summers on... Oops, how did that happen? xP

@pyrogram: That's interesting. Honestly, the fact that Guy refuses to use such a powerful name and instead insists on a name as simple as 'guy' is supposed to reflect a lot about his character. And, thinking more deeply about it, while Kurt calls him Gideon to annoy him, its actually demonstrates a deeper respect and acknowledgement of the powerful warrior he truly is... I love names ^__^

Esther, meanwhile, just means star, so that's a pretty self explanatory one given all the damn star imagery I used in No Ordinary Guy. It's also a name plucked out of the Old Testament, which was supposed to satisfy both sets of grandparents (Jewish and Catholic).

• While she does not wear a mask, Esther is able to maintain a secret identity by using her light manipulation abilities to distort her face.
• In her guise as Eclipse, she bears several fake scars around her face and enjoys making up new stories about their origin every time she is asked.
• Though she is now a member of the Champions of Peace, a team led by her father, she has no intention of revealing her identity to him, or ever speaking to him more than is absolutely necessary.
• Esther is a dedicated member of the Smash Bros community and has been playing Melee competitively for years under the username MsFalcon (Captain Falcon being her preferred character). Unfortunately, she has never progressed past the quarter finals of any tournament.
• Her mother is becoming increasingly tired of being dragged around the country to attend gaming tournaments and conventions.
