I'm definitely interested in this. I'm glad it's starting in February, otherwise it would probably get lost in Bruce Wayne's return during the end of '10.

I'm not reading any current Batman titles but I'll start up with Batman, Inc. in November. Hopefully that's a nice clean start.

Mylite bags don't contain any acid. Acid is enemy of paper, tends to discolour it over time (albeit a really long time). Really important stuff is bagged with mylite and acid-free boards. If you use poly bags and boards that contain acid, you may want to considering replacing the board/bag every 7 years or so.

Do you just want to board and bag the comics so they don't get damaged? Those polypropylene bags you listed should do. If you want want to get into the more serious stuff, do a search for Mylite bags and acid-free boards. I bag & board all my books because I'm OCD like that. The books I get via DCBS are mylite bagged, the ones I buy at the LCS are poly bagged ('cause I can't find mylites locally).

It's an ongoing list of comics you always get each month. If you have a pull list at a local store, the store will always order the next issues of comics on your list that are coming out and have it waiting for you when it's released. That way, you don't run the risk of missing an issue and missing part of the story.

If I were you, I'd sarcastically apologize to the guy for wasting his time by just buying one comic at a time. Tell him you will never bother him again and that you'll bother the guy at the other store. The store that has a bigger discount and gives B&Bs for free. And right when you have one foot out the door, turn around and tell him that maybe you'll see him at the other store one day, when his store has to close down because he treats all his customers like crap.

What happened to the customer is always right? I agree with Nobody; the owner of that store seems to feel like every person that walks into his store should be buying tons of comics and he doesn't have to spend any effort because what loser just buys one comic? He should spend less time making douche comments and more time SELLING.

I thought this BH was going to be about current issues that non-readers could jump into easily, as opposed to pointing them in the direction of trades. That would be another useful BH because non-readers may be hesitant to plop down the bucks to get a trade but would be more willing to grab a few issues of what's currently on the stands. Once they find out something they like, then they can start digging in the archives for past stuff. Like me, I just got back into comics after many years away and I didn't feel the desire to go read up on the history. I especially didn't know much about the DC world (Batman has a kid? What?), except that there was this BN/BD event going on. I took a chance on Birds of Prey and I love it so far.

Though I missed out on the Avengers announcement, next year should be really good for fans since I expect the first promo clip to be released.

What do I miss out on during Preview Night? Is it like first-dibs on merchandise and stuff like that or is it really just like it sounds, you get to walk around the floor and watch as the booths are set up and not really get to do anything else? I'd like to make plans to go next year.

7 Days from Hell seems like the one with the most potential as an on-going, though I also like The Asset as well. I've got them pre-ordered so I'll see in a couple of months.
