I need to rewatch TDKR again, but after watching the movies in order again:

Batman Begins

The Dark Knight Rises

The Dark Knight

Batman Begins was just so perfect now watching it again. The pacing, the characters (other than Holmes), the action...everything felt good. TDK didn't move along as smoothly and the action scenes were crap compared to BB. Heath did an amazing job, and I'm not sure I would have liked it as much had it been a bad performance on his part. TDKR was a great way to end the trilogy. Wish they would have ended it a tad differently and I have other minor nitpicks about it, some of which may be due to sitting in the third row since it was packed. Really do need to watch it again.

@4thhorseman: Same one. There was this little thing happened. A handful of Talons broke into Wayne Manor/the batcave. Yah know, they roughed things up just a bit.

Also, I believe during Batman's conversation with Dick in #11 he mentions that the ones that weren't killed/captured went into hiding.

I remember that, but I thought he was still there in the cave during the attack. And wasn't the Nightwing issue taking place at the same time because Alfred had just sent out that distress call to everyone?

I'm still wondering if I read it right. The one who attacked Dick in Nightwing....was that the same one Bruce had locked up in the Batcave? I don't recall him ever getting out, but there he was in Nightwing.

Or is this a different one?

Who would take Heath's part? I was really wanting to see Crispin Glover take on the Joker before TDK was released. I thought he could pull off a good Joker, and with Joker paint, I think he would look damn near identical to the Joker from comics.

What if? Lex Luthor was sent in a rocket from the doomed planet Earth and landed on Krypton. Under the red son, he gains powers beyond those of kryptonians.

my friends keep saying that 3D and the shooting ruined the numbers, but i think thats bull. The shooting couldnt have effected even 1% of sales, and 3D isnt a selling point for people. I have only seen movies in 3D when i had to (pre-screening of Captain America at SDCC'11 and the second time i saw Avengers on a $6 dollar movie day when the normal screenings were sold out). Im fairly certain 3D didnt do much. I know many people who would turn down a movie before they paid more than the already high prices.

Nope, Avengers was just awesome.

Two key points this site lists regarding 3D sales for Avengers:

  • 56% of pre-sales for MARVEL’S THE AVENGERS are from fans wanting to see the film in 3D.
  • Nearly 37% of pre-sales for MARVEL’S THE AVENGERS are from moviegoers buying tickets to see the film in IMAX 3D.

@sinestro_GL: Joker showed in Dini's run about a year and a half before the movie came out. Detective Comics 826 where Joker kidnaps Robin and they go drive around the during Christmas time. It gave us this amazing scene:

    No Caption Provided

As long as the Joker is written well, I don't believe I'll ever be sick of him...

So the Waynes cut all traces off to another child so Bruce would never be able to find? Really? That seems a little harsh and makes them look pretty bad. And if they didn't cut off ties to this child, wouldn't Alfred have been brought into the loop shortly after their death? And let's not even talk about how the media couldn't know when one of the families that run Gotham have another child on the way that mysteriously disappears.

While it seems like a cool idea, it also seems like it poses potential plothole problems.

They did not do it "so Bruce would never be able to find" his brother. They put him in a children's hospital because he was premature and probably needed a lot of medical care. They just did not think about what would happen to the kid if they died.

Not every pregnancy is visible and if the child was very premature, it would make sense that it would not have shown.

I would also understand that the Waynes would not tell Alfred if his own father died in that same accident and their unborn child did not. As for Alfred learning after their deaths, I am sure the Court made sure he would not so they could take Jr.

Now, I am not a fan of the Court of Owls concept, especially because they are a pre-Batman group of supervillains in Gotham but Snyder did everything so that this element would make sense.

That's all fine and dandy, but it still wouldn't explain why they wouldn't want to keep a single photograph, birth certificate, etc. They would have literally wiped every trace of the child from not only public record, but out of their home as well. That's kind of messed up.

My brother isn't the greatest parent and has put up several children for adoption because he didn't want to be a dad at the time. As far as I know, he doesn't have any communication with them either. But he still knows he's a dad to children out there and he still has pictures from their birth. Seems the Waynes went one step further and just wanted that child to "disappear from memory" completely.

And I'll be honest, I'm completely jumping to conclusions. Hell, haven't even read this issue yet. Just saw the reveal (because I couldn't wait) and all this came to mind. I hope it's all explained, but there's a lot of questions that come up with a reveal like this.
