During his Q&A; panel at the Montreal Comic Convention this year, Sir Patrick Stewart offered a tease for X-Men fans curious about his involvement in future X-Men films. When asked about returning to the franchise as Professor X, the actor gave a knowing smile and replied, "I think there is every possibility."
Stewart followed up by listing off the names of his female co-stars: "Halle Berry! Famke Janssen! Rebecca [Romijn]! Anna Paquin!" He then continued, "Yes, I'll be reprising --" only to be cut off by his son Daniel who threw in "Hugh Jackman" and "Sir Ian McKellen."
OKAY....Obviously, it's uncertain if Stewart actually knows whether or not his X-Men co-stars will be reprising their roles for another film. However, this wouldn't be entirely unreasonable considering the upcoming sequel to X-Men: First Class will be loosely based on the comic book arc Days of Future Past, which features both younger and older counterparts of the X-Men roster. However, his Professor X was killed in X-Men: The Last Stand (well, his body was anyway).
In any case, the new film is currently slated to begin production in early 2013 for a July 18, 2014 release. So what do you think? comment below.
