    Origin

    The full origin of the Probiti is unknown. It would appear that the natives of the Carinian Cluster star system are from a common ancestor, and that the Probiti are some sub-species of that race, but this is undetermined.

    The Probiti are required by law to be taken from their parents at the age of seven and trained to use their powers. Once they graduate, they are given a position in the justice system to use their powers of telepathy to determine truth and uphold the law. They are not given a choice in the matter.
