Private Dogtag was billed as the world’s dumbest soldier, fortunately for him he was also the luckiest one due to a magic ring he found that granted it’s owner fantastic luck, either good or bad, depending on the personality of the wearer.
Eventually he hooked up with Cecil the world’s smartest man, together hi-jinx ensued in the back pages of Military and Modern Comics.
However he is unique in that of all the back page characters to appear in Military Comics, he’s the only one to ever appear on one of it’s covers.
Must have been the ring.
