A member of the Teen Titans during the year after the Infinite Crisis. He appears to have some ties to Apokolips. Edit

Origin

Power Boy was raised in the planet ruled by Darkseid known as Apokolips, the place where he once lived was the slums of Armegetto, however he would be later taken from his home because Darkseid had plans for him. One was to train him and the other one was to use him as a weapon.

It was then that he discovered his empathic abilities to create great power from his hands thanks to the emotions he felt, for example love and hate. He also discovered that he could use the same ability with the emotions of other people.

Meeting Supergirl... without her knowledge

Some years later, Darkseid would capture and brainwash the newest incarnation of Supergirl in an attempt to use her as a weapon against Superman and the Earth.

It was during this time that Powerboy saw for the first time Supergirl, it was love at first sight which leaded him to go to Earth in an attempt to meet her.

DC's missing year

After the events of Infinite Crisis the DC Universe jumped an entire year of continuity. It was during this "lost year" that Power Boy would join the Teen Titans with Little Barda whom he had escaped from Apokolips with via his Father Box.

After the death of Superboy (Connor Kent), the fact that Cyborg (Victor Stone) was in a coma and Robin (Tim Drake) was in a trip around the world with Batman (Bruce Wayne) and Nightwing (Dick Grayson) left the Teen Titans in a time of crisis. Beast Boy decided to start a membership drive for new and old members to join the almost broken team.

However just after the encounter with the newest incarnation of Infinity Inc. and the death of one of their members Eliza Harmon thanks to the new Blockbuster, Powerboy and Little Barda left the team. At Eliza's funeral telling Beast Boy that the Titans wasn't what they used to be, Powerboy and Little Barda used his Father Box to teleport away to parts unknown.

Supergirl

A few months later and after failing to get a secret identity, Supergirl would try to join the Outsiders. It was during a mission that went very wrong that she would be saved by Powerboy. He took Supergirl to S.T.A.R. Labs in New York for extensive yellow sun therapy to help save her life. Once she recovered the attraction between the two of them was obvious and after a few missions together such as saving women and children during a Hurricane in Mexico they started to date.

After months of being boyfriend and girlfriend, and successfully defeating the League of Assassins out to kill Kara for the evil mind controlling agent of a Monitor named Dark Angel. Moments after Supergirl thanks Powerboy for everything he has done for her, electricity starts to come out of nowhere causing them to lose control of their emotions. First they uncharacteristically start to make out in public, then the couple has an unexplained violent fight. During the fight he reveals some of his origin, along with saying his powers are fueled by the emotions of others. Supergirl didn't seem to care about his reasons for losing control of his emotions and proceeded to lose control of her emotions. She burns his hand with heat vision, tosses his home at him with his pug dog Kirby still in it, and when he uses Father Box to teleport into into space, and escape being killed, she catches back up and after a super low blow tells him that their relationship was over. Revealing that she was somehow involved in the out of character fight; at the end of the fight Dark Angel uses Powerboy's Father Box to create a Time/Space Explosion that sends Supergirl to an alternate reality with a red sun and a world possessed by phantom zone phantoms for further attempts at destroying her life. What effect the temporal explosion had on Powerboy was left unanswered.

Death

We see Powerboy many months later as a member of Cyborg's new Teen Titans East team. Along with Little Barda, Lagoon Boy, Son of Vulcan, Anima, Hawk and Dove they started a training session.

The objective of the training is that everyone had to team up to take down Powerboy who was the powerhouse of the team.

After a little confrontation with his team-mates and being super punched into a nearby forest, the rest of the team find a dead and burned Powerboy impaled through a large tree branch. Before they can react, the rest of the team is attacked by a mysterious force  which leaves the rest of the team badly wounded and hospitalized. Powerboy is the only team member that is confirmed to have died after the attack. Raven's evil demonic father has been blamed for the attack, as he wants to eliminate all Titans past and present.

However it was left unclear if he was killed by Trigon, or Infinity-Man, whom was revealed to be the New God Killer during the Death of the New Gods storyline, where all the Fourth World New Gods was shown being mysteriously killed to make way for a new Fifth World.
