Joseph Harrolds meets a mad Buddhist monk while traveling through Bahdnesia. This monk, named Volthoom, grants Harrolds nearly limitless power in the form of a power battery and matching ring. Harrolds takes on the alter-ego known as Power Ring. He is a member of the CSA who have done battle with the JLA. Though he was of equal power, he could not defeat Hal Jordan who beat him by overloading his ring with power. It is unknown what Power Ring's weakness is, if he has a weakness.
